Doimg a new build.

I mean… that CPU is going to be nice and cool, but have I left too little airflow for the GPU? – front intake is 3x120mm, top is 2x140mm…

Still laughing that I can’t even really see the motherboard at all…☺️

I have a BeQuiet Dark Pro 4 and an 7900xtx, no motherboard visible either 😅

GPU should be fine. The space underneath it is more important than the overhead.

Case would be better if it had exhaust fan also

That thing is crazy big haha. Looked good even though I’m not a fan of big coolers. I always like being able to see the MB. Also what card do you have installed? Wouldn’t think a 40’s series would fit in a case with that big of a cooler

GPU coolers draw in air from below, so it should be completely fine

Diminished returns personified. You cannot move enough air to cool those towers efficiently in that small case.

I literally cannot install my second fan on my tower cooler because it can’t fit over my RAM or MOBO heat sink hahahaha. I know the pain my friend

  8. How are temps? I also have an NH-D15 with a 13600k(f) lol

I run the same cooler on my 7950X3D, runs surprisingly cool. I have trust issues with AIOs

Or use an AIO and get better thermals without taking up the entire case.

I take it the cpu cooler posts really rubbed off on you 🤭

So the funny thing to me is the guys who made heat pipe coolers never designed them to be used in this orientation. They are designed to be vertical in a test bench config. The water goes down, boils and you get a evaporation cooling effect. Cut one open some time and you will see there is very very little water in them.

So you have to have these huge monstrosity’s to make up for the broken engineering of them being faced the wrong way.

No one has taken the time to reorient the pipes in the right direction for pc towers and it just blows my mind.
A cooler 1/2 the size with the right design would cool better.

  13. I’m in the same situation with my PC; I also didn’t realize how big the D15 is. In fact, I didn’t have enough RAM clearance to install the front fan! Regardless, my GPU temps have been fine. I got around 67 degrees on the GPU and 65 on the CPU while playing Forza Horizon 5 online.

In span of 3 years of having pc, i swapped my case 3 times because noctua cooler (not a D15 but U14S). It’s a bad idea for someone like me who is just cheap on case. It looks nice to have a big chungus of aluminum fins inside of your pc.

Until i decided to move from noctua to peerless assasin. It is such an honor to have that big ass cooler, lol.

You should have got a smaller one and used the extra cash for a better camera
