I haven’t noticed any significant increase in cpu temps and temps in general so far

Nah, it shouldn’t be a massive issue if you clean your case once in a while.

  2. Mr_hacker_fire

Yes this is a big deal if you take your cat off of your PC, your cat will never forgive you.

  3. falcinelli22

I plan on making a little comfy stand right above the exhaust for our cats. They’ll get nice and warm while causing no restrictions to the airflow.

  4. TheKipperTheMan

Assuming there’s an exhaust on top, you’re getting some minor build up, will you notice after a day? No. After a year, dust and cat hair will be that fan’s new best friend.

EDIT: do not touch the cat, he’s fine 😂

  5. SnuffleWumpkins

Depends if that’s intake or exhaust.

  6. retro3dfx

Wait until it pisses in your case and you make a post about it like so many others over the years here.

  7. Dexxitty23

I have a smoll one as well and 2 140mm exhaust fans on top, and even on full loaf when he takes up both fans, the 120mm exhaust I have in the rear and my 415 watt 7900xtx don’t complain about any restrictions.

  8. Antic_Opus

It’s only a problem if your thermals sucked in the first place

  9. ConstantAdvantage1

I let my cat do this until one day I went to clean my pc and saw all the fur that was inside the case

  10. Callinon

Keep your case clean and it’s fine. Let the cat hair build up in there and it will rapidly become not-fine.

Also cat piss is one of those things you can’t really clean off of components…. so that’s something that’s fun to think about.

  11. YellowFogLights

Yes. It’s a pretty big deal when your kitty loves you so much they want to be right beside you.

Next post repeat x3493: OH ME GAWL MUH KITTY PEEPED IN MY COMPUTER HAAAALP”

  13. lolwutboi987

DIY a drip tray that will collect any moisture that may come down. Also get dust filters to keep it clean. Cat pee does not come of the computer part

  14. MHWGamer

that’s the cutest cat taking a nap pic I’ve seen this week. so cute!

in contrary: maybe just perspective but it looks like you have the mother of all gpu sags lol. If it is really like this in real life, that isn’t normal. Try tightening the backscrew a little more and push the gpu manually in the “right” position when doing so

  15. pertante

As long as one exhaust fan is free and you dust often, I say enjoy the cute view on your rig….

  16. rohitandley

Yes. The cat is the Cooler Master. Let it do its work!

  17. coffeejn

Yes, cat might need a bigger case later. You are going to have to upgrade so that your cat fits comfortably.

  18. Snorlax_king79

Might have to do extra cleaning for hair removal.

  19. Celebril63

    It is to the cat.

    Disturb at your own risk…

  20. Revo_Int92

Of course not, we all know cats are the real owners of the establishment (any kind)

  21. Morrowind12

Cat hair maybe but I would be more worried if it one day puked or pissed right into the top of the pc.

  22. barry_allen_11223344

Yeah it’s pretty much fine like everyone’s said, you’ll prob jus want to clean ur pc more frequently is all

  23. milkstrike

Cats are amazing at soaking up heat so in theory should make your pc run cooler if anything

  24. TrickyWoo86

It’s only a big deal if your power button is on top of the case and your cat learns that pushing it gets them attention. I had to mod my case to put the power button where the cat can’t press it. [https://imgur.com/a/32m5l50](https://imgur.com/a/32m5l50)

  25. mindaltered

Absolutely not, mine loves all of the pcs in the house the only issue we have is when they sit on my son’s PC and push the power button lolol

  26. Complete-Tip-4230

Excess hair might build up but if you can maintain it, it’s just fine.

  27. InfertileBoy

    Wouldn’t recommend it.

Eventually your pc will get clogged full of cat fur and turn into a robocat

  28. Alechilles

My cat threw up on top of my PC. Twice… Never again.

They like to lay there because it’s warm. Create a better warm spot for he/she to lay and make the PC off limits.

  29. Accurate_Cup_2422

you might start thermal throttling when under extreme loads. personally i’d let it go it looks quite content where it is lol

  30. The cat chilling on its computer? Not a big deal.
You have to buy your own computer now tho…..

  31. Mangoknees

Why did you buy a cat and a warm box if you do not want the cat to warm box

  32. Enough_Ad210

Hair, but that will happen regardless where your little friends lays down. No big deals.

  33. therealcatspajamas

My cat tends to vomit on things so I would say yes.

  34. johndrake666

Uhh the ony pussy that you’ll ever touch.

  35. AngryAccountant31

My cat uses my pc as a step to the top of a tall bookshelf and I don’t want him getting hurt. So I’m entirely redoing all my cable management to move my pc once I find a good spot for it.

  36. AlephBaker

Looks like your cat warmer is working just fine

  37. Then-Court561

My cat doesn’t have the privilege to even be on my desk. Simply because he plays with the cables and destroys them which can be a very costly endeavor and it happened 2 times already. (He literally hunted the wrong mice lol 😂)

  38. Needmedicallicence

It is cheaper than a keyboard so it is handy( I mean petting it not smashing it)

  39. Puzzleheaded-Brief56

My mf cats manage to knock off the magnetic screen then scratch themselves into my computer and it really pisses me off. My poor 7900 XTX covered in cat dandruff… I vacuumed it out and have been persistent in keeping them off but I work 12 hour days and my girlfriend does not stop them.

  40. Stilgar314

Cats like warm surfaces with interesting textures. They also love dominant spots in which observe the surroundings, relatively high, but easy to get in and out to. If you care, use that guidelines to provide a place your cat may like better.

  41. rainorshinedogs

That furball is gonna be bad for airflow. Dispose of it
