I use a TV but it sucks balls. Some cheap hisense Walmart gig. Not even a real 1080P, it’s like 1050 at 49″ or something like that. POS for sure. Takes like 45 seconds for it to boot up. I hope it dies soon…

Got one next to my pc. Best of both worlds imo. Even 43” feels a little too big for a desk.

No. But I guess it depends on your setup. Monitors are much higher quality than TVs of the same size, with typically a better dot pitch, resolution, refresh rate and colour clarity. TVs also don’t need to reproduce static text with high clarity for a viewer a few inches from the screen. Also input lag is a problem for most TVs.

I have 50’ Samsung next to my pc I only use for racing games and fifa so I can sit back and use controller

Using my PC connected to a 50-inch “quantum dot” TV. Looks great but my only regret is that it’s just 60Hz. Games do look nice in 4K at 60Hz though.

42C2 was life changing. I’ve tried ultrawides and all sorts of resolution/form factor combos and 42″ 4k 120hz OLED is exactly what I was looking for that didn’t even exist until recently. I don’t understand why PC monitors are so far behind in this aspect. 4k HDR content has been standard for years now and 99% of all monitors are either too small, too wide, or 60hz if it’s 4k.
Ethernet cable + lg companion app and PC can send the power on/off signal so by all accounts it’s a monitor.

I do currently, it’s been great. I bought a really nice LG when I got a series X. I don’t have a place for the monitor I bought, so I’m glad the TV worked out well for my first build

I didn’t even know they made gaming TVs, what brand?

Damn reading these replies I’m really surprised how many people are unaware people game on tvs like the c2 or c3. I think I spent too much time in /OLEDgaming

Got a c2 42″, felt right at home straight away on my desk.
Also got 42″ 1080p Toshiba TV for couch gaming with the PS5 and streaming sports and Netflix, it’s great as well.
I have a 27″ Benq 4k monitor for a few years prior to that, i don’t miss it tbh.

I use monitors. If I played many games that are better on controller, I probably would, but I don’t. Even something like GTA is better with mouse and keyboard imo. Fifa would be cool but I don’t mind playing on my 27” monitor either. But for games like DayZ and Hitman, I find m&k to be way easier and more forgiving.
