Saburo probably more antagonistic in nature since he for sure would want to just overtake your body. That being said he may want to cooperate to an extent to see Yori go down. But he would be far less accomodating than Johnny and that’s saying something. Also, probably more boring tbh
I heard somewhere that this almost happened? And also Morgan Blackhand? Something about it being tied to life paths.

He’d probably try to cut a deal if you hand the chip over to Arasaka, and failing that try to ruthlessly take over your body ASAP. Summoning Alt from beyond the Blackwell wouldn’t work and you couldn’t get Rogue to help you, but Takemura would refuse to leave your side. All-in-all, a speedrun to the Devil ending.

Then, when you wake up, this is what you’d hear instead: 「起きよ、V。我らが巨大企業を築くべし。」
He would take over V a lot earlier. It’s pretty evident that Johnny has more power over V than he lets on. Like, V passes out at least twice I can recall in my half asleep state and Johnny had ample opportunities to just down all of the pills that keep him in control. Saburo wouldn’t be as willing to let V roam as they please. He’d just yoink the body and be thankful for having one control of one of the godliest people to ever exist.
It might actually be more interesting since in the game V has an effect on Johnny’s personality as well in small ways, it could be an interesting story to have Saburo effectively trapped in the head of a street kid V and have to experience the world he had a major hand in making so shitty for everyone. The relationship with Goro could be pretty twisted if V exploits their position as the only line of communication between Goro and his beloved owner.
He would be far more of an asshole when it comes to trying to take control of course.
The game wouldn’t be as successful because Keanu adds a lot of charm to this game

Kinda like fire emblem 3 houses letting you choose a house and the game’s story changing from there.

I think most people overlook is how much this changes your relationship with Goro. Tamekura will be a lot more protective of V.
In other scenarios, he might insist that you let Saburo take control most of the time, and V might even pretend that Saburo told him something to mess with Goro and have control over him.
Also, would Saburo be happy or sad about you fucking a MiliTech chick?

The game would be much shorter since Saburo would be trying very hard to take control over your body so he could deal with Yorinobu himself.
I think you’d be better off just shooting yourself in the head and ending the game immediately than continuing if that old fart was the one in your head. He’s old, boring, far more evil than Johnny could ever be considered, and has no charisma or an impressive cock.
Saburo would party like 2023 the moment he takes aggressive control of V’s body, preferably with the nearest Joytoy.

I think it would be better if your engram was tied to life path. Saburo for corpo, Johnny for streetkid, and someone else (hell maybe even David at this point idk) for Nomad.

Other than it is not radically different. Instead of some terrorist rockerboy nagging you for days you’d have a megacorp emperor nagging you for days. You are still a solo and do things how you please. At least Silverhand is vulgar and funny, Saburo would just yell “WHY GIG, GO TO ARASAKA!!! KUSO-YAROU!!!”.
Or what if it had Adam Smasher instead? V will essentially become like Dark Urge in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Maybe V and saburo would work together to destroy rival companies so they could control the entire world.
The moment my V would realize Saburo is in his head, he’d be painting the ceiling with his own brain matter.

I think he would have been considerably more aggressive to V in both conversation and actions as an engram. Perhaps instead of a broken prototype, this could have been the actual Saburo engram that was supposed to be implanted in an empty host body, as planned. He’d constantly urge V to do something that gives him more control.
More antagonistic, manipulative etc, I think they would implement a time limit where past a certain point he’ll actually take over entirely.
Also any ending involving alt wouldn’t be feasible, arasaka ending would put him in control of the body, only ending where V survives would be DLC ending.

Tbh I’d kinda like the the LA will do anything akin to that. Saburo was a very powerful guy and I’m sure he found a way to replicate his mind without having it destroyed.
Instead of “Ah… Arasaka… yada yada yada… I’m the best, no one ever truly liked me.” We would got “Old times… yada yada yada… need to bring my ill-guided son back on line… Goro get me something to eat!”
Though would be funny rubbing under Goro’s nose, that we talk with his boss in our head. Though… if we did THAT, he would just sit at th side and waited til the chip had fully consumed us instead of doing like he wanted to help us.
Saburo would be manipulating V into taking control of his body as quickly as possible.
There would be no action in the game since Saburo would have V live like a king, so he won’t risk his life trying to make money.
It’d be a different story.
An emperor walking among the common folk to gain enlightenment could be an interesting tale, but Saburo would definitely be willing to use whatever means necessary to get out of V’s head and into Yorinobu’s.
He’d manipulate the shit out of you, but I do think that it also depends on how antagonistic V would act towards him as well. Whether he betrays you in the end (almost definitely so under normal circumstances) would be part of the story’s tension.
The whole thing is though that both Johnny and V change from the start of the story to the end and if you were to put Saburo in Johnny’s place, he’d have to undergo some change too in order for the story to feel rewarding.
Does that mean he suddenly becomes a nice guy? Probably not, but I think the default ending of that story would be something akin to the Devil one, with, instead of Takemura, Saburo personally guaranteeing you that you’ll eventually be freed from soul prison for services done to him and Arasaka.
