What’s the point? Sell them. You’ll make someone happy.

I have my 8800gtx and 1080ti on a shelf in my workshop.
OkOffice7726
Yes to some extent. I have old gtx 660s that I found too useless to give off to friends, I gave away my gtx 970 and now I have a 3060ti collecting dust that I don’t know what to do with.
Selling is just too tedious process, and it’s easier to avoid getting scammed if you don’t do it in the first place. However, I think the 3060ti is a tad bit too expensive to gift away. Then again, maybe I should do it.
CivilSwan893
Nope I give them away or sell them.
VNilla_
I have a 3080 collecting dust in my closet. Does that count
Dead-Thing-Collector
I usually give away my old systems after I’ve had them a while.
Still have my old 8800 black edition though because the system it was in I had put a 9800 in it.
Have a boatload of older low-mid range ATI cards I’ve been thinking about building cheap retro gaming systems n giving away though

Looks like you are just a fan 🤭

No, but I do like to have one cheapo one knocking about in case the one in my machine dies so I can at least still use it for browsing and work etc.

i got like 3 970s, 2 RX 470s, 2 RX 570s, a 780, 780 TI, a few 1060s and a 1070. a few R9 cards i’m forgetting as well.
it gets addicting hoarding tech haha.

I only have my old 8600GT somewhere which died back then and I could revive in the oven, but I sold all other “old” cards since my GTX 670.
I just wished I didn´t sell my 2080ti right away when I got the Gigabyte 3090 Gaming OC, which died on me twice with one repair by Gygabite in between. That was within the price high of mining and my CPU back then also didn´t have onboard graphics.
Antic_Opus
First gpu I bought (2070 super) didn’t impress me much. I sold it and put that towards a 2080ti.
Just bought a 7900XTX and gave the 2080ti to an 8 year old

Yes, but I don’t hoard GPUs this new.

Only 1 as a backup if something might happen. The pattern is my PC->wife’s PC->reserve. Currently a 1060 chilling in the box of my new 7700xt(wife got my old 5700xt, she had the 1060 and it had its struggles.)

LividFocus5793

themacmeister1967
I have an 8800gtx, GTX 770 2GB and a 9400 GS
Obviously the 770 is still usable today (at 1080p max), but I remember playing Portal 1 and 2 on the 9400 GS quite nicely
Nothing3334
Damn
For me it’s an honor to have all those.
But I sold one after the other just to raise the budget for the next upgrade

I generally like to buy old GPU that i never got the money to get, when i was very young.
Just some project that need money.

I have two xt1900 crossfire edition cards and I think I have a few 700 series gtx cards
Tubaenthusiasticbee
Still have my RX460. Upgraded to a 580, but it broke and I was able to make a refund. Bought a used Vega64 (which was cheaper than the 580 when I bought it lol), sold it when I upgraded to an RTX 3070, which I still have, but I will build it into my brothers’ PC.
Capirex95
That’s too much GPUs. You are upgrading too often !
A GPU should last at least 5 years
agentrnge
I upgrade so infrequently so I never had them stock pile. I only have my 970 spare now, that I just upgraded from 2 weeks ago. Previous GPU was some Radeon from ~13 years ago that was donated after I got the 970.

why you not sell it or giveaway

why would you? why not just sell for cheap or give away? this just seems like a waste of space

In an anti static bag, yes

Hell yea. The pandemic shortage made me paranoid and I couldn’t be fucked to deal with the hassle of selling them.

I have a 2 GTX 1070s, a 960, a 660 and 2 260s. Have a couple ATI Radeons in there (forget the exact versions) and my good old Voodoo 3. Any others I have had over the years got sold.
NotARealDeveloper
No. I am not that wasteful. I gift them to friends and family.
