My first build. What do you guys think? Was I good to wait … Any suggestions or comments for future updates appreciated. I’m excited to join the family.
Everything is awesome except for the motherboard. There’s a reason ASRock is among the cheapest. All other brands are spot-on though.

And you bought come computer parts!
Must’ve been a great day – congrats!

Lost your virginity and building a new PC to celebrate? Nice, sounds like a good day!

Nice build but 64GB of ram for this machine will be overkill. Personally I would have gone with 32GB of ram and with the extra money I would have upgraded the 3060 to a 3060ti

Very nice. 64 GB of ram seems like overkill for gaming.

First of all, congratulations. Enjoy your new build thoroughly. In the future, you probably want to spend less on the CPU, an i5 12400f or 5600 would have done for this build, and more on the GPU. Good rule of thumb is that GPU is 40% of your budget. You could have also gotten 2 sticks instead of four so that you had room to upgrade in future. Ex. 2×16 instead of 4×8

Did you earn the money for the parts while losing said virginity?

I wouldn’t trust that PSU even if God himself descended and told me to trust it.

Did you fuck the 3060?

Sorry buddy but it’s not good for the money you spent.
64Gb of RAM is overkill, assuming the i5 and 3060 no professional workload will be done here.
Corsair RGB fans are a ripoff. The 360 AIO is absolutely overkill for this chip. The PSU is a timing bomb made in Gigabyte and 750W sounds a bit low if you wish to upgrade in the future.
Yes you will play games, but by trading the garbage Corsair fans for a pack of 6x Artic fans only 30€ , then a Thermalright PA120 for 30 instead of this AIO, you will have no performance difference at all since it’s just fans, and a MUCH better GPU.
But at the end it’s your money.

That’s awesome. I actually also lost my virginity today too as well as my job at the morgue.

That should be a really nice first build. I was really impressed with 12th gen recently built a 12700KF and 12900KF build. I was really tempted to buy one of the Sonic themed MBs. I don’t think you have to worry about running out of ram. Tuning DDR5 was a bit annoying for me (have both an Asrock B760M and an Asus TUF Z690 Wifi) sticks will certainly work at 4800 supported speed by default. 3060 is easy to fit/install, should be good for 1080P/light 1440P (have one and a 1060, 7900XTX that genuinely is heavy but worth also for me). Would try ram XMP off first, see that all 4 sticks are working. Can always take out the MB battery if the ram speed causes problems. Would build it and worry later though. I think 64gb is more than enough, have one kit for 12700K with 32gb DDR5 6000 TG Delta (posted 5800-6000 speeds on that board) and 12900KF 48gb Trident S5 DDR5 both are 2 stick kits. I went with cheaper TR air coolers but your build parts are good. I have the 970 EVO Plus in my main 2tb as a boot/game drive, it’s great.
