People will ignore Twitter/X as a serious competitor to Youtube, Facebook and Tiktok the same way the car industry ignored Tesla. And then one day they’ll ask, what the hell just happened?

Are you using Firefox with Adblock? If not, try that, my YT is working fine with no ads. Fuck Google!

YT premium is my only subscription I will not get rid of willingly, I literally have YT playing in the background almost all day while I work.

It’s probably the only sub I have worth the money, nothing else comes close.

  4. Stop being cheap shits and support the creators you enjoy watching. Tell me, if you decided to start a YT channel, would you want to be paid for your work?

Either pay for a subscription, which is cheap, or deal with the fact that the ads are paying it for you.

If you expect anything for free, you are a child. Nothing is free. Grow up.

I’m honestly shocked it took them this long. I remember watching South Park on Hulu back in the day when you didn’t need a subscription and it wouldn’t work with adblock. That was over 10 years ago.

  6. Just get Premium. YT is like the one service most people actually use hundreds of hours per month of. It’s worth it and Premium actually pays the creators more

Youtube premium is the only subscription that feels worth it to me. I’ve watched it for free for years anyways

Isn’t users who use adblockers a statistically small amount of users?

Thanks YouTube for fixing my Youtube addiction

Does Pi Hole block youtube ads without getting this message on Youtube?

I disabled my adblockers to see what it’ll be like and why does the ad experience on desktop feel so much more intrusive than whenever I use the normal YouTube app on my mobile? I’m hoping it was because I wasn’t logged in to YouTube on firefox. I relented to personalised ads just so I could stop YouTube giving me the occasional but usually poorly timed uncomfortable ad.

Download Firefox and UblockOrign, it’s a better browser and generally feels better to use. Plus you can avoid the add message by switching

Idk, I’ve never been bothered by ads.

I’ll take on the down votes but are you guys just so mentally permeable that you can’t stand watching a 5-20 second advertisement without being forced to consider purchasing it? Turn your attention elsewhere for a few seconds. The world runs on time and money and you can’t get both of those for free
