Industrial society and its future. Technologies strengthen the System. Term of Social contract is changing but there is no way an individual can avoid.
Cyberpunk as you know it was born out of USA of 80’s. But despite what may be your impression, even USA is not yet matching the Cyberpunk levels of corpo dystopia. It’s working hard on it, sure. My impression is that cyber progress has advanced a lot in the meantime.
Yea but in Cyberpunk 2077 you can go on a spree on those corpos. Don’t do that in RL.

Honestly I would rather not have the cybernetics. Unless it is really minimal. Like for example I would never replace my arm for a cybernetic arm unless I need it for medical reasons. It just seems kind of horrifying to replace your body that much with cybernetics.
Though a sandevistan is kind of cool. Though I would only get a sandevistan if I can use like V does. Otherwise I don’t see much use to me in my regular life
when you realise you can no longer differentiate between “immersive” and “relatable”.
And with restrictions on corporations still. Your literally waffling cp2077 is if the government was made up of corporations, at least now its just lobbying.
That’s why I enjoy it, all of the real life dystopia with cool cyberware fiction on top!!!!
