Not happening for me. Does it take multiple videos to watch for it to happen?

  2. Affectionate-Year185

What browser are you using? Since I didn’t pay for premium this month I’ve been using AdBlock and got 0 warnings so far (Firefox with ublock origin)

  3. CurrentlyLucid

Lol, you’d think the greedy bastards were trying to make money!

  4. Evelyne-The-Egg

If it wasn’t for how often I use YouTube music, and YouTube on my phone, I’d cancel my premium and only use Firefox with ad block for this BS

  5. Surprise-Fiat

Pretty much the reason I switched to Firefox

  6. Idk i have ad blocker on Google Chrome and yet never seen this bs

  7. I have enough things to keep me occupied. When I start getting these, I’ll just stop using YT.

  8. Morrowind12

This is why I switched to another browser because of youtube blocking adblockers plus google allowing spyware and malware ads to run rampant on google chrome.

  9. smartguy05

The first time I got this message was when I immediately switched to Firefox.

  10. xUnionBuster

YouTube premier is the second best money I spend all month

  11. Melodias3

Ads are being weaponized to give bad experience, so you think premium is only option, ad bubble will go pop eventually, and google has only them self to blame.

  12. Y’all want creators to be able to make money off their content, and then you get mad when their hosting service makes efforts to make sure that what pays for the creators is actually going to get pushed through.

I really don’t get it. Your favorite content creator? Their ads make up a good chunk of their income. And you already pay nothing. You can’t sit through 15 seconds of ads? Really?

  13. SEmp0xff

just use russian vpn. There is no ads in russia nowadays

    xd

“Ads allow us to make billions worldwide”

  15. RedMdsRSupCucks

“ads allow youtube to be used by billions worldwide” – oh cry me a river youtube …

because of billions using your platform you have ads to begin with …

no one wants to sell ads on a platform with low viewer count …

fucking cunts… give us those non intrusive ads that you can click away while the video is playing and i will turn off adblock

  16. Imagine using a service all day long and pretending to have it for free.

  17. EternallyImature

If it comes down to paying to not have ads or dumping youtube all together… I’ll dump youtube.

  18. TheLawbringing

Idk I don’t get the outrage against YouTube cracking down on adblock. It’s not exactly free to run one of the biggest media sites in history.

  19. if you want to block ads on your
    – smart tv use SmartTube,
    – smart phone use YouTube reVanced

    resist till end 😀

  20. I use Chrome with uBlock origin and have not had problems yet. Guess Google treats their own products with more leeway.

  21. bob69joe

If Ads were never allowed to get so intrusive then Ad blockers would never need to exist.

  22. GardeniaPhoenix

I stg can we **please** switch to a different video platform

  23. WashUrShorts

    The Audacity,
I thought the Motion Sensors are evil but blocking you for wanting what YouTube was,
Free to use without watching HOURS of Advertisement.

  24. Cpt_Saturn

I wish all ads were limited to 5 seconds or less. There is absolutely no way I actually watch multiple 15 second ads on PC when I can simply check social media on my phone

  25. MRxSLEEP

Next step is facial recognition that determines if you’re actually looking at the screen and if you’re not…the ad timer doesn’t go down.

  26. IdealIdeas

This is literally posted everyday on the youtube subreddit. Its nothing new.

  27. MagizZziaN

Looks like we gonna get some competition on the market again.

  28. fallen_one_fs

If YT ads were like reddit’s, mostly gaming stuff, and were at most 15s, I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about it.

But they are not. They are 1min and half long, about some goddamn music genre I hate or some other disgusting nonsense.

    No, thanks.

  29. zhire653

Maybe I’ll allow ads if half of it wasn’t literally scams or porn

  30. rell7thirty

Well I hope Adblock and ublock find a way around it. I get enough YT ads on my phone and smart tv. Give me an ad free experience on my PC. I’ve never purchased anything because of an ad. I’m more of a review and word of mouth type of purchaser. I have nothing against them, as businesses and companies need them.

  31. Oh no youtube won’t let me pirate videos anymore!

  32. Straight-Geologist51

Smh, goodgame empire got there first and made me quit it. YouTubers get most of their revenue from sponsors anyways… This isn’t going to end up well.

  33. I honestly think people are way too entitled. Running a video streaming site is not free, but you’ve been using it for free, probably for years. They have to earn money somehow. Honestly, the cost of premium is a pittance for the services provided.

  34. If you were to add this block of text to the “My Filters” tab in uBlock, it bypasses the youtube anti-adblock.
