Made use of some free time in my workshop last year, welded steel frame and Oakwood backplate made from offcuts I had laying around. What do you think ?
I hope Pinterest is already swooning over this like we will be. GFJ

Looks incredibly good and fits right into your home interior style.
It could be out of an IKEA catalog. Just kidding, the furniture looks too good for that.

Love the desk. And the sofa. And the chair! It gives me a mid century modern feel. Certainly a breath of fresh air over a gamers room with all those RGBs.

How much does it stick out when viewing it from the side? I went down a rabbit hole of wanting to mount my pc on the wall 5 years ago. Ended up watching videos of a guy designing a flat “board” which displayed components on one side and hid wires on the other, he eventually epoxied and fiberglassed it. He had it encased in lights and painted.
When it was finally put on the wall, it was hideous. It was tantamount to screwing individual components to a piece of plywood and then nailing that to the drywall.
I played around with just mounting a slim pc case (similar to what you did) to the wall, but it always ended up looking too obtrusive. The balance between a LCD monitor the thickness of a finger and a PC sticking out of the wall like a cinder block was something I couldn’t get past. After trying high on the wall, middle, desk height, it just didn’t work. It looked best in the corner, out of sight.
You know that episode of SpongeBob where he gets a job at The Chum Bucket and gets Plankton to move the grill all over the kitchen just to end up at its original position and for SpongeBob to say “JUST A LITTLE MORE….AND PERFECT!” That was me for 10 hours.
Edit: Noticed the monitor is curved and meets the edge of the case! Brilliant!

Amazing setup and very nice build. I love both the metal structure and the joint in the wood. You should post also in the battlestations subreddit!

Damn near perfect, almost looks like a render if it wasn’t for the mouse/keyboard cables and the power outlet peeking out from behind the monitor, nice.
Time to get a wireless mouse and keyboard to get rid of those last two wires.

Why would you not use a wireless keyboard and mouse? So close to wireless perfection
