but what about the annual corporate profits?

  1. Sorry, but optimization has nothing to do with crappy Nvidia drivers dying from Starfield. AMD users didn’t have such issues.

Keep buying Nvidia GPU’s, my stock prices must rise

Don’t worry, market economy will correct it. People will pirate poorly optimized game to recuperate the net loss on hardwares, or ignore them completely. Poorly optimized games will suffer from poor sale, changing such practice in the longterm.

Please, won’t someone think of the shareholders?!

Are you forgetting the huge pandemic-led rise in GPU sales due to way more people getting into PC gaming? There was really never a Panik stage here.

2018-2020 was because nvidia overpriced their gpus

1080 Ti, still going strong ✌🏻

  8. 2000-2015 isn’t entirely true. The pattern generally stays the same, once developers abandon last gen consoles, everyone needs to upgrade their GPUs. Ie. if PS6 is coming out in 2028 you probably dont need to upgrade until 2028/2029, and chances are any GPU released from 2024-2028 is going to play most ps5/xbox-series games just fine now. 2023 games aren’t nearly as unoptimized as people make them out to be, it’s just that they aren’t making sure they can run on PS4/ xbox one anymore.

  9. Fastest upgrade I’ve done was in 98. Voodoo 1 in May 97 when it was about 7 months old. 4mb of power giving smooth experiences on new games.

Voodoo 2 came in Feb 98, and Unreal came a few days shy of my gpu turning 1 sending my fps on the larger maps to sub 20. Bougth a Voodoo 2 instantly.
