What kind of question is this? 1080p with 240 fps ofc
OpenChordBreakdown
everyones going to say 1080p because alot of people on here are poorer
AltairdeFiren
4K 60FPS imo.. 60FPS is the minimum though. Anything below that and you’re better off just doing 1080p. FPS is a diminishing returns type thing so the difference between 50-60 feels worlds different from 60-144 or 240. I primarily do 144fps but occasionally (like Cyberpunk with RT) have to drop it down to capped at 60 and there is a slight perceivable difference, but not enough to really matter.

4k absolutely. You can run 1080p at a 1:1 4x downscale while having all the 4k goodness when you’re not gaming, AND get high fps for optimized/undemanding games at 4k.
shredmasterJ
Neither. 2k 144.

1080p 240hz, easy. 1440p 165 is my preference, but out of your choices, def 1080p

4k60 for me.
Reality is in-between is where the sweet spot is, but I love me some pixels.

Id choose 1440p 120 fps. But if only these 2 options are available then 4k60
Mexicutioner1987
1080p, 120fps. Anything more in either direction is just flexing with very little noticeable gains. I definitely prefer frames over resolution, any day.

The real financially irresponsible go for 4k 144hz

Of the two? 4k 60.
But 1440p 120/144 would be nice too

Obviously depends on the game. Fast paced/twitch shooter— 1080p.
Slower, simulation or RPG, definitely 4K.
Can also go in between with QHD @ 135Hz.

1440p 144hz.
It just so happens to be what I play at anyway.

I know anything beyond 60fps will feel epic, but I am so used to 60fps, I don’t wish to game at 120/144. I tend to choose quality over performance, so I might be in the minority. Also, I’m not a super competitive gamer. In the recent Phantom Libery, for example, I chose to play with Path Tracing turned on regardless of the performance hit on my 3080 Ti (but still very playable on UW resolution).
