Mine came with a bracket so beat that

Spending $1000 on a fancy metal slab only makes you want to spend less on the computer

Who needs gpu supports just buy smaller gpus

  4. Slothcom_eMemes

Can someone explain everyone’s fascination with gpu sag?

  5. Halflife84

I spent more on the motherboard and it came with additional support for the gpu. It’s nice.

Or I could just make my own, out of my sons Legos. And I’ll be forever more proud of that then you spending an extra 10bucks. Not to mention when he has friends over one of the very first thing he does is show them how his “Legos keep dads computer from breaking” and that’s pretty damn cool.

I buy mine 3€ in aliexpress, Amazon sale the same model for 8/10€

    Viva el dropshipping

It took my GTX 970 8 years to show (barely) noticeable sagging.

  9. Goshenta

I see your $10 support bracket and I’ll raise you random action figures for internet clout

  10. Be me, buy a case that allows for motherboard installation horizontally.

But then you can make one out of Legos and post it on leddit for those sick upvotes!

  12. Unless it doesn’t exists in your country, despite you have money!

I found one that lights up and that convinced me to buy it lmao

A nice $10 bracket looks cleaner typically than most solutions I’ve seen people DIY. You can make Lego or an action figure look good, most of the time it just looks forced tho

One good thing about my prebuild Lenovo is that it came with strong ass fixture that holds the gpu in place. wro sagging from the factory.

  16. Maybe the manufacturer should include a 2$ piece of plastic or aluminum for their egregiously oversized GPU, you know, so the user doesn’t have to waste their time ordering more crap, after already shilling out a grand.

The L bracket that some gigabyte cards come with is actually really nice. Great idea on their part

  18. I mean… even a 1$ pencil works, I may or may not of cut it to the correct length

Is sagging even an issue ?
I build my own rigs since around 15 years and never had an issue with that at all.

I feel like any half decent case has a anti sag bracket these days no?
