If she doesn’t have any new quests (if you let her live), I was hoping for something like recovering old Militech hardware for her from the Future expo. Since there was that big spider thing, I would assume there’s probably other Militech stuff laying around in there that could have made for a neat side quest to bring her back into relevance if you didn’t screw her over; giving more incentive to replay the game instead of siding with Maelstrom every time by cracking the chip.
I think because she’s perilously close to President Myers in both appearance (both chiseled/tough-looking white female Militech blondes in their visual 40s) and general manner they probably didn’t want to drag her in and cause confusion or highlight the similarity (the VA does voice work for the expansion for her other characters so that’s not it).
Because there’s a good chance she’s dead.
Good thing they didnt want mommy meredith to be in PL. I wouldnt be able to play the game properly with one hand.
In my headcannon, each Life Path was supposed to be a different girl(and guy, probably) to romance. Street Kid would get Judy, Nomads/Panam, and Corpos were supposed to get Meredith. But as development changed into one big story and Life Paths got cut, so did most of Meredith and her questline. They probably had the motion capture and everything done for the sex scene, so they just added it as a one-off and left it at that.
50/50 she’s dead so they probably didn’t wanna deal with her. Now they could have done something like make it so no matter what you choose she survives, but that would probably require a fat retcon to people who saw her body underwater in their saves.
Now if they did want to go the extra step and add her I think her perfect role would have been…

Meredith would mention her already meeting V, and if you had the one night stand she offers extra drones for free. Quick and easy cameo, and Linda is already getting paid to voice Misty, just throw her another paycheck to voice more lines as Meredith.!<
She’s small fry and not important for Militech.
You can see that in that she is the one who meets with V and she is the one who has very bad consequences if she doesn’t get to the bottom of things.

Yeah honestly like why dosen’t Militech do more? I just saved their ex CEO and defacto owner. I should be upto my ears in Militech equipment.
Stout wasn’t there to help me physically, but she did have a material influence on the outcome of the story. That material is silicone.
Stout is/was a Militech *official.* Apart from Myers, every Militech operative you interact with in PL is *unofficial.* And Reed makes a point of getting Myers right tf out of there when he shows up. It’s his priority #1.
Reed, Alex, and even So Mi are all unofficial operatives. From an official standpoint, Militech was never there in Dogtown. You are operating as part of a squad of unprovable ghosts.
It would greatly confuse the issue if someone as publicly known as Stout was there with the super-secret sleeper agents.
I thought they specifically stated before that they weren’t going to change much of the stories of the base game? This would make a lot of sense if that was true.
that would be cool though instead of the quests being based around Stout they should just be based around Militech and Stout should give them if she’s alive or Gilibrant if she’s not. Also if anyone is wondering the info on who the militach mole is in the room before you get to Brick though you can only get it if you pick the nomad lifepath
