I think we all know why v and the players were upset
….they were hot and sounded sexy

Ofc the real reason is just how well animated and underlined the execution was, V is a hypocrite in that moment but as a V u can opt to not execute unarmed people, then V’s reaction kinda makes sense. Kinda.

I was only upset because it seemed like we were gonna just kidnap them. If they told me up front that we were gonna kill them then i would have been completely fine with it. They were lose ends, and were gonna need to be silenced eventually anyway. Just would have preferred be kept fully in that loop.

Honestly, it was just a little too coldblooded for me. They were criminal netrunners so chances are they’ve fried more than their fair share, but at the same time, they hadn’t done anything to us specifically. They were not innocent, but damn it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

You just don’t kill the hottest character in the game without having the ability to date/fuck them first

Killing the Net Runners was a really poor decision and shows the NUSA is actually quite weak and will continue to be weak. Most “western” intelligence agencies have learned that a bullet is the last resort, a Bag of Cash is a much better motivator. If Reed hands them a bag of cash and asks for the codes. They would have definitely accepted the offer and stayed quiet. Why would they risk their lives? clearly they are outmatched and then the NUSA gains an asset they can use in the future. The other side of it is the message they are sending to V which is why the NUSA helped V in the end. Organizations protect their people, the NUSA honors their deals. helping V sends a message that the NUSA has your back and is a very powerful ethos. So ultimately Reed is kinda a bad agent he is to quick to pull the trigger and would never survive in a real world intelligence agency.

Maybe if those thugs talked to me and were hot I would feel bad about killing them.

Nah, they were obnoxious.

Just showed that they do this everyday and can betray you at any moment with the use of their “loyalty” to justify it. Just like what happened to Reed, Alex, and Song bird. Mfers got used by the NUSA but willingly served regardless. This is when I saw they were FOOLS
edit: NUSA is worse than corpo

During that scene i thought about the two chooms you meet in the hideout with myers.
If they survive, they leave dogtown and reed texts you that they have been taken care of.
Seeing how he operates, makes me wonder which kind of “taken care of” he means.
