Worse? I’d say still has it’s bugs. Some of which I’d miss if they got fixed. Like the random ceiling fan that flies around you in Ghost Town, the NPC’s that are dead and still standing after you kill them and of course the dancing / floating props to name a few

The only thing bad about it atm is performance in dogtown and CDPR said they’re addressing that in future patches.

It’s one of those properties that people just love to hate now. It will never go away. If you play the game and derive enjoyment out of it, that’s all that matters

I’m 12 hours into my new play through, about 70 hours at launch, and 130 at 1.6. This is such a lie, there’s things I noticed that changed for the better ever half hour lol.

Welcome to being a Cyberpunk fan. While at launch there absolutely were credible complaints and cdpr screwed many aspects up big time, there has also ALWAYS been misinformation on what was expected to be in this game at launch, and people greatly exagerrated what was “promised”. Pre launch I have never seen such delusional expectations on what things to expect in a game as I saw with this game. I remember when people saw there was a spaceport in the map leak of the city, they were speculating there would be missions in space, and your own spacecraft that could be customizable (I’m not even joking) and that each npc would have their own life, and go grocery shopping, shave their armpits and pick up their kids from their ex on Sundays. It was just ludicrous. And don’t get me started on the life paths. All it was ever “promised” to be was a different brief opening to the game, with some different dialogue options. And that’s what it was, shit before that it was only supposed to be a text choice in character creation like it is in starfield. Instead cdpr gave us something much cooler and more immersive than that and got shat on because it wasnt enough, and people on reddit built it up to be three entirely seperate drastically campaigns altogether. I could go on and on..most of these expectations would come from places like a throwaway line from a dev in a German podcast that was mistranslated by a redditor and that thread was copied by journalists and blew up into hundreds of gaming media articles (this is actually what happened, check the source for “npcs will have thousands of daily routines”) next thing you know, “cdpr PrOmIsEd!!!” It’s absolutely ridiculous. So what happened when the game actually ran like shit on last Gen, every other thing people said negative about the game just had to be true, the hate train went off the tracks. Mainly because people lack media literacy, and the ability to check sources. They just see some guy say something on reddit and then repeat it, then 100 more repeat it. I believe this game in its current state is a milestone in gaming, and one of the best games I’ve ever played. And eventually as more and more people get into gaming the release will be looked at as the mistake that it was, with a truly great game underneath the misconceptions. Phantom Liberty was the litmus test to me, to see if cdpr could still hack it, and they obviously can.
I mean, it’s an opinion. We can’t say this person is wrong. I’d love to hear their explanation for why they think that though, because I think almost every aspect of the game has improved.
I’m seeing a lot of Starfield stans writing pretty brainless comments about Cyberpunk in attempts to maintain their fragile ego. Everyone seems to be comparing these two games and it always leads to stuff like this.
Enjoy what you want my dudes, everybody has taste but let’s try to celebrate every game’s success, and learn from every game’s mistakes.

I will say while I do think the changes to grenades and meds are good them being a limited resource (and balanced around being a bit more limited instead) would have been better. Something about being able to stall out any fight to get more meds, or having no reason to buy the crafting spec for grenades just feels wrong, made even weirder that dogtown still has the vendors selling both the physical and the blueprint so it was a late development change for the dlc
