Nearly 250k concurrent players on Steam today for Cyberpunk 2077 with the launch of the Phantom Liberty Expansion. This is the highest player count Cyberpunk has had since December 2020.

  1. I’m at work or else I would bein that number

  2. LeoMark95

Yeah but without crashes we could be 300k.

  3. I hope this success means CD Project Red reconsiders their choice of not making any more DLC for the game

I had 49h in this game before 2.0 dropped. I have 80h now.

Ok, currently I have a lot of free time but it’s rare for a game to keep me tied to the chair so much.

If only I did not change my monitor to a 1440p one, since my 1070 is not strong enough 🙁 and 1080p is just disgusting.

I’m sorry but it has finally hit me just how much of an anomaly Baldurs Gate 3 was. Almost No advertising and they got 800k+ concurrent players when Cyberpunk was heavily hyped and advertised yet only hit 1/3rd of the numbers. Absolutely crazy.

Anybody else on Xbox unable to play? The game crashes constantly after downloading the dlc for me.

I’m fucking stacked this month with Starfield, Pokèmon, MK1 and Separate Ways but i’m closing out the year with Cyberpunk 2077.

    Eating good!

What about gog, im playing on it

They deserve it. They have put in the work and made this game incredible. I hope we get more DLC.

If I didn’t have responsibilities like work and obligations with friends and family, I’d be part of this number too

Anyone else kind of disappointed so far? Just got past the first boss. Nothing but dark dull corridors, lifeless abandoned buildings, making wish I was back in night city

  13. I will be playing tomorrow evening to bump up those number 😀
But I guess it won’t hold that long: 30-40h of Phantom Liberty should be doable in a few days

    Real shame we won’t get a 3.0

If there’s one thing this shows, it’s that Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot left in the tank. People like what this game has to offer, and now that its been expanded and tuned to great shape, people still want more from it.

There are a lot of elements that could be expanded that would sell just as well. But I don’t blame them for wanting to move on to a sequel.

This makes me happy, it was already a decent game with the 1.6 update but holy fuck this new update really makes the game fucking shine, did a fresh start and been having a blast and taking my sweet ass time with the game.

I was there wrapping up my first playthrough of the base game since waiting around for 3 years. Game is actually incredible despite a few bugs and a few crashes on the final boss. Going to wait a bit before getting the dlc as I plan to do another playthrough and don’t want to burn myself out.

Now if only we could play PL for more then 5 minutes at a time. Crashing is what PL does right now.

I need answers! Will buying the dlc apply it to all my new games going forward or just apply to one?

  19. M4jkelson

I would be that number, but I play on GOG, so… add 1 in there?

  20. memberstaawars

Shame it won’t work for anyone….

  21. TheNorthie

As much as I want to play rn, I’m gonna wait for a lot of my mods to update. One thing I hate about modding is the wait, but the modders need time to update.

Out of curiosity, if I add the GOG game to Steam does this boost the Steam player count? Doing that shows my Steam friends what I’m playing off Steam, but not sure if this impacts player metrics or if its Steam purchases only.

  23. Greedy-Huckleberry22

Iam waiting for mods that’s the only reason the player count is not 246,755
