Go for a proper chair next. That one looks liek it would suck to sit in for any extended period of time

A standing desk would raise it up
Amazing_Trace
better chair for sure,
DevourIsDead
A good chair, a mousemat would look really good, especially with that keyboard. And it looks like your outlet is over to the right and that’s why you have cables going that way, but if you could run a single power strip to the back or underside of your desk, you could manage it better. You could find a way to run the single power strip cable along side that molding on your wall, and it could really improve it. Also maybe one of those under desk mounted headphone hooks. Just a thought.

Some genuine suggestions for improvement:
1. Get a nice size desk mat. It’ll add some contrast and be a huge improvement for regular use.
2. Move your pc off the desk. It’s too cramped right now. Maybe a shelf or a drawer unit for next to your desk where you can place your pc? You could also move it to the floor but just be wary of placing it directly on carpet.
3. Add some personality to your setup. A plant or two, wall art, maybe some small trinkets for the desk (wouldn’t add too much that sits on the desk but that’s my personal preference). I’d suggest a headphone holder since it looks like you may need one.
4. A better chair would probably be the first thing to truly spend money on. Get an ergonomic office chair and not a racing / gaming chair. You’ll thank yourself later.
5. Cable management. Your current setup isn’t terrible but aiming to eliminate all visible cables will make things look even cleaner.
Good luck! You’ve got a nice start so far.

I looks clean, just get a desk pad with some design and maybe some nice speakers
SurealGod
For starters, get out of the basement
Jokes aside, I would add some plants or leave the window open to bring in some natural light. Some nicely framed pictures on the walls can easily liven up a place.

God damn my computer desk looks like a tornado hit it. This is so empty

What desk is that? I like it.
Is the monitor mount attached to the desk or being held down by the computer case?
wanderingmonitr
What are you wanting to elevate? Monitor? Desk? Chair?
divi8
Maybe some cinder blocks? That would elevate the whole thing.

A proper chair, XL mouse pad, another monitor if you want, some decor.

A better chair for sure. Looking at it and thinking you spend hours gaming in that chair makes my back hurt

Why is the computer on the desk? Ya got some sweet CD-rom drive you need access to?
