Phantom Liberty will unlock after you finish the “Transmission” ok. BUT have you managed to do any side quests? Panam, Judy lines for ex. or not? DLC can affect on main storyline? Better to do it all?

You owe it to yourself to eat everything, including the sidequests.
(I have no idea if you need it to appreciate phantom liberty)

The only thing ive heard is that completing your friends questlines before you start PL effects the DLC they might make an appearance or something if you do.

A khraze gaming video I listened to reasoned that in order to get the most out of the xpac and resulting ending of the game, it’s best to do everything except meet with the daughter before the tower, and then do PL.
doing so will square away all the side questlines that influence both xpac and ending.
So that’s what I’m working on.

Based on the leaked new game ending, you might wanna not have any friends at all this playthrough. Pretty sure you’re locked in dogtown till it’s over once you start. Uncertain if they’ll call you during the story, but I doubt V would even have time to talk to anyone besides the new characters & johnny.

Lizzy Wizzy is confirmed to appear in the expansion, so I imagine there might be some extra dialogue regarding her if you’ve done her quests

The rumor is that there is a specific ending in PL that ends the base game as well, and if you haven’t done all the side companion stuff it won’t feel satisfying.

According to some articles i have read none of the side characters make an appearance during the DLC including romances.
As for the ending (new main game ending mini spoilers beware) : >!you get a chance to call them via a phone or intercom or something . No physical appearance!<

The DLC apparently adds new content everywhere. I’ve been waiting for it to release before doing a new playthrough.

Guys, do you think I should restart a new game or do I go back to my old save before the end of the main campaign and play the DLC?

Which one is Transmission?

Ok as I understand best way to start DLC is:
1. Finish the “Transmission” quest from main story line,
2. Complete your all friends questlines (Panam, Judy, River, Kerry).

A new article on PC Gamer talks about this. Their recommendation is *”making a new character, taking your time, and weaving Phantom Liberty into the original main quest. Cyberpunk 2.0’s new character building and loot is worth experiencing fresh, and* ***Phantom Liberty is better paced as another pillar of the main quest as opposed to some kind of post-game episode.”***
Someone please tell me what I should do before I start PL. I just got the first quest to go to Pacifica ma pa telen or whatever.

I’m leaving the expansion until the very end.

i’m bothered because i really want to start a new playthrough but if it adds new stuff/changes outside the DLC then i will just wait. But can’t look it up because i want to touch everything spoiler free, both 2.0 and the dlc

I made 2 accs before this, one where I bitched off every romance option (I wanted a red car over panam and wanted straight away mox without the wait and told Judy to leave nc) got bad with everyone expect Johnny. And another acc where I befriend everyone because I learnt from my mistakes and bought the blue shion coyote instead of ratting out panam for a cooler red version. I had these 2 because one was a sandy build and the other was netrunner so when I found out about the attribute respec I just went with the account that didn’t fuck up everything and made a new sandy build, only things I haven’t figured out yet is if netrunner is any good now and how to respec perks cause I can’t find the pay 20k to respec perks anywhere
