Cyberpunk 2077 2.0’s single best change is letting me become a chromed-up cyborg

I am sharing this to highlight one specific quote in the article:

    >A lot of the best mods, like cool time-slowing Sandevistan implant David uses in Edgerunners, used to be gated by your attribute scores. Update 2.0 gets rid of prerequisites for mods and only asks that you have the capacity to equip them and the money to buy them.

It appears that attributes are no longer required to use certain cyberware.

Just wonder how does cooldowns work now and how powerful sandevistan is vs original game when it was broken and abused by everyone making very hard more like very easy.

Just a shame you look like a normal person even though you have all the cyberware

Is there a release date for the standalone patch?

Was pipe dreaming that update 2.0 would come with a 3rd person option

    >with my current build I have two different ways to slow down time, an air dash, dense marrow bones that make my melee hits harder, “microrotors” in my circulatory system that make me swing swords faster, and Doom-like glory kills that sap HP from everything I kill.

So… dashing in mid air and the glory kills (finishers) are perks (unless there is cyberware that adds it too). And the rest were in the base game.

Asking for opinions, already beat the game 3 times full playthroughs and just started a couple of days again but with the update 2.0 coming and the dlc my question is should I stop and just wait till the update comes and start then? Thanks for any input

Ahhh I thought with that title we could actually get chrome body parts finally

Title had me excited then made me sad when I saw what it actually meant

With the combo of them removing the attribute requirements from cyberware and de-coupling crafting from the technical tree it feels like you no longer have to spend like a third of your build points just to use the stuff you wanna use.

No longer using stats as a prerequisite is great, because even though I enjoyed the base game, I always felt like I couldn’t fully fall in love with it until I got enough stats to get that Sandevistan I wanted, or that Cyberdeck. Now it’s just about capacity, so I can literally slap a Sandy or a Deck on right after starting a new character assuming I have the capacity for it (which I fully intend to maximize, even if it costs me health points), and just go nuts, immersing myself in the world.
