Okay, so I looked it up. It’s called the Motocompacto which is a great name. It weighs under 42 pounds and the weight limit (according to press reports) is 265lbs which isn’t bad. The downsides (though not necessarily downsides but something to keep in mind) is that it has a max speed of 15mph and a range of 12mph. The upside is that charging time on a 110v outlet is 3.5 hours.
Once we’ll get better batteries that don’t catch fire, we’ll hopefully see the current bans on electric scooters in apartment buildings get lifted and we’ll see increased ranges on these things. Hopefully that will happen a lot sooner than later.
