I have a asus tuf z390 pro gaming motherboard and I’m trying to overclock my i7 9700k to 5ghz. I’m new to overcloking so bare with me. The problem is that the core voltage seems unnecessarily high and therefore my thermals are not great. I’ve tried manual core voltage override, but that doesn’t actually apply the voltage I want, it’s stays at 1.430. I’m doing something wrong or is this normal?

Can’t you change the voltage above the override?
