Male V is boring.
I’m surprised he’s not more popular. If the FemShep/MShep divide is any indication gamers are still predominately male and enjoy playing as an extension of themselves.

Not going to lie, I’ve only done about 2 play throughs with male V. The voice actor, although talented, just didn’t do it for me.
Fem V is a lot more emotional. Those moments when she breaks down with Johnny are *chef’s kiss*

They’re basically saying Female V is the cannon. Being real if you look to Nexus you would think ppl mostly play as female, even the mods are mostly female only.
Unmodded, one V doesn’t gets you Judy and the other still has you riding off on a tank with Panam with Judy still your girlfriend

The comments here are killing me lmao, people saying Male V’S VA is weird as if Fem V’s VA is literally perfect.
Voice acting of this game is just weird to me, lot of characters sound weird. Both Vs, Judy (remember how she randomly goes bass-boosted during certain dialogue?), even Johnny legit feels like an AI voiceover at times with how soulless he sounds. It’s as if Keanu was just bored when voicing him at the beginning, but then around the ending he suddenly gains a soul and there is a lot more emotion in his voice (an emotion other than just “angry dude be angry”).

Well he was all over the marketing for the original release for starters. And CDPR has the data to see that fem V’s voice acting was more well received and she probably was the more popular choice.
I thought it was because the promo for the main game featured male V, so for the expansion they went with fem V
