Hey I downloaded warzone to play with my dad. He is finally starting to get into video games and we decided to try this one out since it was free.

2 out of three matches I was kicked immediately after killing someone on lockdown. I googled around and found that I might be shadowbanned? I checked the activision website and this is what they said:

Is there anything I can do? I’ve played 3 matches with my dad and like 2 alone over the past 2 weeks.

  1. Let me add that queue times have been crazy since those first few matches and I’ve seen very obvious cheaters in my lobby (if the killcams can be trusted)

  2. Broken shadowban system for new/low trust accounts. Wait it out(~7 days). After that play 1-2 games a day like a complete noob. On 4th day try to play normal.

On new accounts 1 report from angry kid you killed can get you shadowbanned again.

You weren’t being a racist or a bully?

This could be the result of the new TOXMOD AI chatbot they have monitoring and recording ALL voice chat. Not to sound accusatory, but if you said anything toxic or aggressive the bot can send you to shadowban lobbies while the voice comms are reviewed. I have seen reports of people getting bad for saying racial/homophobic slurs, “f**k your mother b***h,” ect. An actual person I play with is now shadow banned and the only thing we can figure out is because he plays a lot of rap music in the background that uses a certain slur a lot and he open mics. We played 3 games after the bot went live and now he is shadow banned getting stuck at “searching for game 300ms” without ever finding a game, and trust me he plays on Xbox, doesn’t hack, and has a 0.68k/d….nothing he has ever done in game has been “hacker sus.” His Activision account also says it is being investigated.
