Pre-ordering from a studio that has not yet produced a game in this IP that released on time as promised shows that studio that they can over promise and under deliver as long as they eventually get it playable later.
I’m in all likelihood going to buy the game shortly after release, but I’m not going to reward them for the previous bait and switch by getting the pre-order. If the expansion comes out as promised then they’ve earned some credibility, anything before that is flash without the substance.

You people are 100% the problem and need to learn some goddamn self-control.
Look what happened at launch, look at what happened with 100 other games.
There is LITERALLY 0 reason to pre-order anything. They won’t run out of codes, all you’re doing it giving them money for an unshipped product.
I literally waited until the Edgerunners patch and 50% off to buy the game because it wasn’t until after patch 1.5 that the game became stable enough and worth the money. And though I admit the game is pretty great now, it wasn’t at launch and there’s no reason to pre-order or even buy anything day 1.
Wait for it to come out, watch and read multiple – unbiased reviews and then purchase it if it’s worth it.
All you people hyping this up and pre-ordering are 100% what’s wrong with games coming out broken as hell and unfinished. Stop giving Devs and Publishers money for a product when it’s not even out.
