AW, Ghosts, IW, VG, BOCW and MW19 **ALL** had collabs or goofy ahh skins that aren’t “realistic”
This game is not a “milsim” and it never has been. The skins have also never been focused on realism.
Don’t even get me started on mastercrafts
The point is, this is not new, this is not CoD “becoming Fortnite”.
Should they focus on gameplay more than cosmetics? Yes
Will they? Probably not
Nah I gotta disagree with you on this one. The cods between AW and MW had goofy skins yeah, but there’s a limit as to what I’m willing to accept. A lot of the old skins were just that, skins. Then in CW we started getting stuff that was still kind of goofy, but still fit with the theme of CoD being a military “action” game (Rambo, John McClane). VG got even goofier with the King Kong/Godzilla and Titan skins, but we still got some good ones like the Terminators.
MWII is when they really dropped the ball, adding soccer players, basketball players, super heroes, and pretty soon, rappers. The main issue players have is that the devs made concessions with the gameplay in the name of “realism,” only to turn their back on it 6 months later. So all we have now is a game that was designed to be shit for no reason. And people would be less upset if we actually got crossovers that fit with the theme of CoD like John Wick instead of fucking Nicki Minaj.
I used to joke about “Barbie crossover when” but it legitimately feels like it could happen in the future.
I wish this game was like Fortnite. Frequent and prompt content drops and bug patches would be awesome.
Seriously need a separate sub for all the ppl bitching about operators, most of us give zero fucks about what operators look like, tired of these posts here

People aren’t actually pissed about there being goofy skins. They’re pissed because as the emphasis on selling goofy skins has gone up the quality of the game has gone down
