Why do I hate it so much?

It looks like a nice setup, actually. You’ll see the sun this way instead of being a normal gamer basement dweller. 😂

It’s a cramped and busy space. First thing I would do is remove the rug and desk mat. For that particular space, if I had the funds (and it was my style), I’d consider getting a oak top desk with white legs. Here’s some examples:

A floating shelf and some pothos would look great here with all of the light.

Looks really nice! Got some sweet windows as well.. move some stuff around, change the wall decor/color of lighting. Change is good!

I don’t get it either. Vidya with a view I’d kill for that. Like, with a knife or something

What has helped me in the past is to create a vision board (that’s what I call it not sure if there’s another term). I gather pictures of things I like, colors I like, styles that speak to me, pillows, art, rugs. Then I work in creating a room I like, swapping things in and out until it’s visually interesting to my eye.

Adding texture is great for adding depth to a room so it doesn’t feel flat. . So think chunky rug or a woven throw.

Get to know what you like by trying things out digitally and then transferring that look/feel to real life by adding items slowly. Saving up and buying something a little nicer pays off vs purchasing several lower priced less quality items.

Think of it as a journey!

  7. Welcome to the never satisfied crew. Looks clean to me

Honestly? Maybe because of how compact it is?

Black curtains, you need darkness, child

IMO that desk seems too small and wimpy (looks wise)

  11. Williamb3

Adjust the desk so that it sits diagonally to the corner

comparison is the thief of all joy, we all fall victim to it with the setup itch

  13. Sleepdeth

In my opinion, the carpet doesn’t flow with the overall ambient.

  14. ForgedInValhella

cuz it’s too small for what you want.

It’s the table and the clutter, keeping things neat and tidy improves

    Have you considered… More monitors?

  17. I like it. Maybe you aren’t satisfied with the desk or layout. Look into different options for desk and peripherals and see what fits with the space. Nice set up though

Personal preference but I find any desk with very skinny legs ruins any battle station look. That’s why although it might be played out for a lot of people ikea drawers and butcher blocks work so well.

    Noice and thick lol
