Three key takeaways from my overall practice session:
* Flicks or even 1-frame flicks like the ones from Faulty L3 (ABSOLUTE MAD LAD), might look stylish and all, but the core fundamentals you should still learn would be tracking, centering (proper crosshair placement), and Spawn locations.
* Even though you generally have a good aim, or good game sense, you still need to back it up with movement.
* Try to build your own playstyle, instead of copying other famous content creators. You can learn a lot from them, but it all boils down to how you can incorporate those lessons into your own playstyle. For example, I tried copying Faulty L3’s snappy aim and fusing it with JoeWoe’s movement, but alas, it didn’t work for me. What worked was for me to use my standard aiming mechanics (tracking, enemy prediction and a few non 1-frame flicks here and there), and I started to see improvement over time, especially when I’m using SMGs/ARs. I’ll definitely invest more into practicing and experimenting with some more playstyles to see what works for me.
