Did you like the backpack system when it was still in the game?

Didn’t make sense for cod. Running out of plates and running over a body to get plates vs opening a backpack to get plates. The only downside of the vomit loot is it turns into a cluster fuck sometimes

    I’ll say it again.

If you took the COD IP away from the game, there wouldn’t have been an issue.

BUT, COD fans are too resistance to any change that makes them use any critical thinking…

It’s been the same cycle for almost 20 years.

Any of those innovations that changed the game, we’re never going to be given a fair chance.

I hated it at first. But after a while I got used to it and really didn’t think about it. But when they changed it, I really missed that third weapon slot when you found a large one.

This is probably the one thing I wish they didn’t take out. Carrying a 3rd weapon was awesome. They could have just limited the amount of specific items you could carry in it like air strikes and lethals/tacs so they couldn’t be exploited but oh well.

Yep I loved it. Being able to stow an extra gun was amazing. Sucks that all the lame ass streamers complain about things and then the devs listen and ruin the game just for those streamers.

No it was clunky and stupid. Whoever designed it deserve a kick in the butt. There are many other games with backpack systems, dunno why they didn’t copy them. Pubg for example has solid inventory system

hated the backpack system & looting in general when the game first dropped. Finding ppl with 3-4 extra self revives was annoying af & the added time to go through someones backpack & loot was so hindering.

Its much better, but the only thing that bothers me now is when my player vacuums up all the fuckin ammo into the open slots & then i realize later that i have no more plates & have to drop my extra 1000rds so i have room for plates again

Was amazing. I could see everything I wanted all neatly lined up and I could carry an extra gun and that was huge. Loved having a pocket riot shield or joker for when I need them. And all the extra space for sniper ammo cause I loved running taqm was huge. But now we can barely hold anything cause back packs are so small now and the vomit loot is messy and you can’t see shit it is awful.

All they needed to do was limit self res and stuff but nope all the cry babies wanted vomit loot back for whatever reason when even in warzone 1 it was not that great. Could have vomited plates and ammo on the ground so you could run over it to pick it up but the other stuff could stay in the bags. Was a great system ruined by people who don’t like change and just wanted warzone 1 nostalgia back instead of wanting meaningful improvements. Obviously the slow down of gameplay and all the movement penalties are awful but they made a lot of good changes from warzone 1 and the bag system was 1 of them.

I liked it better when I could carry a full stack of ammo for all the guns. No more than that one stack though.
Now full squads can sit in buildings or rooftops, with full packs of ammo and armor boxes and killstreaks.

  10. I liked the system, but it was incongruent with the style and pace of combat in WZ. It works in DMZ and still needs to be expanded upon in that mode. But in WZ getting killed when you’re stuck in an inventory menu is just bad design.

  11. endianess

Good for DMZ, bad for BR. BR really took a hit because of the mechanics needed for DMZ.

  12. Dlink1111

Yes. Would have liked it to be more like pubg in that it could have been an area loot instead of having to sit still and open the pack. I prefer it over vomit loot that clumps together or gets clipped into the ground or walls. I do think that it should have been one standard bag for everyone though instead of different sizes.

  13. burneraccountposting

Loved 3rd weapon hated everything else. I think it’s perfect for dmz but not battle royale

  14. baliz199

Nope, they tried to fix what wasn’t broken to make room for the shitty dmz. Wz1 system was miles better with no backpack.

  15. Licensed_Ignorance

I didn’t like it on paper, but as soon as I hopped in and started playing I actually came to prefer it over loot piles.

  16. Paaraadox

I like looting in Apex better than Cod, but Cods backpack system was just shit. Constantly clipping in walls, on top of eachother etc. And it kicked you out of it from just barely moving. Just annoying. I’m open to a new iteration but they manage to fuck up basically everything they do to this game so.

  17. No. It doesn’t belong in a BR. I need ammo and plates asap in a fight.

  18. bgreeneist

I didn’t hate it, but I like the vomit loot we have now way better.

  19. slycooper13

Yes I preferred the backpack system over all the loot overlapping on one another and clipping through the ground half the time. But it could’ve been more finely tuned imo, like certain objects drop outside of the pack when you kill someone like shields and ammo for example instead of everything

  20. LordsWF40

Yes and no. Yes becuase we could have hold more stuff and it was an easy way to find exactly what u wanted…no becuase the time for you to transfer stuff (esp for controller) you could get sniped!

  21. alejoSOTO

It was fine, and is actually an important mechanic in DMZ.

WZ BR crybabies couldn’t handle the simplest menu on earth

  22. dirk_1745

Just vomit essential stuff like plates and ammo, let us carry ammo types we aren’t running and leave everything else in the bag.
