Unrelated, I just thought about it, but I feel like the reason Vondel plays out badly is not because of the time to kill still being too low, but because there are way too many players in endgames.
I want to know what happened in your clip that it’s the very last zone and there are still more than two players alive. Were the other squads playing cautiously in the buildings?

From what I could see it just looked like he didn’t go around the tent fast enough/went the wrong way. He wasn’t “playing” with his food at all.
