If you compare Vondel with any other resurgence map you can clearly see that the out of bonds area is much more detailed as those maps were usually surrounded by simply water.
Also you can see few of the landmarks are present outside the playable map which is strange for a small map.
Or maybe the original plan was to make the map much bigger? and they had to scrap it.

It’s coming to normal BR mid season. Could expand to allow for more players.
Yeah I think so. Maybe fits a narrative that the conflict expands. I literally ran out of bounds the other day into an area that looked like it’d been created already.
So theyve probably built out the map around the edges already
Have you gone inside the buildings? They could be completely empty.
