The End of Twitch is Near

Since its inception, Twitch has basically been the go-to place for streamers of all kinds. But now with the onslaught of competition, controversies, and now audacious upcoming policy changes, it might be time to ask: is the end of Twitch near?

  1. What's your take on the new Twitch policies and the future of the platform?
Enjoyed my backlog of Rainbow Six Siege clips?
I always appreciate y'all coming by and I wish you a beautiful rest of the week

  2. Jfc, they are just messing with peoples livelihood. I don't think Twitch is dead just yet; cuz youtube keeps shooting themselves on the foot, too. If youtube was better, tho… story would be different

  3. As a viewer, it doesn't impact me much. I'll just follow my favorite streamers to whatever platform they want to call home. But should I ever take the plunge into streaming, Twitch would be dead to me. Won't be long until Twitch is just Hasan's Harem of Bikini Hot Tub streamers.

  4. How does this video only have 130views?
It's quick and logically explained, and we'll made you just earned yourself a sub!

  5. Twitch is such a trash platform. With all the competition they have why do they create these stupid policies? Oh well its to their detriment. Great Video eh

  6. Sadly, for most streamers, Twitch still seems to be your best bet (aside from Tiktok in terms of viewer reach). I think that will change in time, but for smaller people , especially those without networks (which is most people) it has the best engagement per organic traffic, which is what you'll need to even get big enough (with a strong enough community) to have the luxury of moving effectively. Kick for example offers the best split, but it has so much drop off in every regard (except sometimes raw concurrent view count). So if you're a newer smaller streamer, I would start on Twitch and start making a life-raft for other platforms. Just my thoughts and experience, after talking to many streamers (of all sizes) about it.

  7. Fucking so glad it not streaming on twitch anymore either. It was like BARELY worth it two years ago lol

  8. I'm so happy alternatives like Kick have showed up.
Twitch has been trash to me for years. I stopped using it years ago when it first started banning people for 'mean words', while keeping boring thots who abused their cats on stream (Alinity).

  9. My few times of trying to watch on twitch were extremely bad and the ads popping up in the middle of stream, not to mention the app kept crashing, I don’t see how anyone could actually use that platform

  10. Good riddance. The playing favourites part where rules don't apply equally to everyone is the most obnoxious thing. Funnily enough the most memorable time i had in twitch was watching Totalbiscuit and Forcegaming learning the ropes of R6: Siege.

  11. Just when I was going to start my hottub Twitch stream you tell me it's dead. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH ALL THIS WATER!?
