   Personally I think the latter bit, from ~1:19 on, is more interesting. Deep computer nerds who were not at all “punks” being Gibson’s inspiration, and only later seeing a subculture seemingly inspired by his and others’ works growing and identifying themselves as cyberpunks.

   A good example of the “life imitating art” side of things.
