What a fun little story. Recently my friend asked me to tell him the whole story line as he just got into playing cod zombies recently. I warned him it would take about 4 hours. He said he could fall asleep listening to it. Long Story Short he stayed up all night and told me to shut up.

Ok do you want aether dark aether or both?

In the beginning, there was only the Aether, and the First One. He crafted the Summoning Key, and with it, the infinite universes we live in. He also crafted the first race in his image, called the Keepers, tasked with defending reality. He also created a dimension free of corruption above creation, called Agartha.
But, with yin comes yang, and Agartha was mirrored by a dimension of pure chaos called “the Dark Aether,” a place full of corruption and chaos, capable of twisting the minds of all who come into contact with it.
With his work done, the First One slipped out of reality. In his place, two new figures emerged. One would go by Dr Monty, and the other would be referred to as the Shadowman. The Shadowman led a team of Keepers in experimenting with the Dark Aether, with all of them becoming corrupted by its evil. They became obsessed with the downfall of Agartha and the spread of chaos to all dimensions. They rose up, and a great civil war began between corrupted vs uncorrupted, light vs dark, good vs evil.
The Shadowman quickly realized he was going to lose. So, in a bid to maintain some form of power in a way that could be used later, he created a pyramid of ultimate power and hid it on the moon. As he was being banished, the Shadowman sent Divinium to Earth in hopes that the emerging species would use the rock, a crystallized form of the Dark Aether’s chaos, to tear their prison open and release them once more. During their stay in the Dark Aether, the corrupted Keepers twisted and transformed into something new, calling themselves the Apothicons.
During humanity’s crusades, the Apothicons managed managed to worm their way free, and attacked Earth. The Keepers rapidly came to humanity’s defense. But what really turned the tides was Primis, four unknown heroes who wielded elemental staves. With their help, the evil was banished once more, and the Apothicons were sealed away tighter than ever.
Before they disappeared forever, Primis instructed The Wolf King to build a castle in the mountains of Germany, called Der Eisendrache. He does as he is instructed. As his dying wish, his servant Arthur takes his master’s bones to be scattered, along with the King’s pet wolf. There, temporal rifts teleport Arthur to Angola in the year 2025.
Skip forward to the 1800s. The Keepers realized that they could put a stop to the Apothicons forever, if they could craft the Agarthan Device, a sort of genie in a bottle that could shape reality to the user’s will. It needed three components: the blood of an Apothicon God, a shard of Divinium intertwined with 4 human souls, and the vessel that binds them. However, they needed a human to get these things, and they could not directly control a human. So, they turned to a man named Jebediah Brown.
Jebediah had just moved to Purgatory Point, a Western Mining town, with his mother, when the miners discovered a strange blue rock in the mines. It drove one miner, Clyde Farnsworth, insane after he spent several weeks near the rock. The man attacked Jebediah’s mother, ripping out her throat before being shot by Jebediah’s neighbor. That night, Jebediah began seeing visions from what he called “the Angels,” which were actually the Keepers. As a test of his loyalty, they instructed him to build the Pack-A-Punch. He obliged them, and Purgatory Point became famous for his weapon upgrading machine. However, Jebediah and the other townsfolk were begging to go insane from their exposure to Divinium. Jebediah, in a moment of utter insanity, Pack-A-Punched his mother’s body. This led to her becoming a ghost, doomed to haunt the halls of Purgatory Point’s mansion. Finally, at the angels’ behest, he Pack-A-Punched the seal after they instructed him to make it. The resulting energy rift teleported Purgatory Point underground in Angola, 2025. The teleportation caused an undead outbreak, resulting in the town’s population decreasing to 0.
