I do RGB not for aesthetics but as light therapy. Sitting at a computer can quickly become ‘grey’ and lighting is the primary defense against that, sound too. Two rgb globes that slowly shift color, and some bias lighting behind the monitors, keeps a kind of emotional undercurrent going that prevents that grey-bleak feel that can happen. People can argue back and forth over aesthetics all they please, but for me it’s the psychological & emotional effect. “Does it look good?” doesn’t even come into the equation as a variable. It’s solely “Does it feel good?”
