If only the devs had tried to implement some sort of game mechanic that would be able to contain all of a players loot after they died. They could have made a sort of backpack item to do this. That way, if you killed a team indoors or close together, the loot wouldn’t all pile up. Instead, it would be 4 little backpacks that you could open up and pick out the item that you wanted.

Uhhh we had a different loot system and Reddit lost their minds over it so we were forced back to this

They originally released the game where everything was in a backpack menu then backtracked because it was too slow. It was definitely slow, but this is a scenario in which we still would like a proximity menu. For me the original was good except they followed the same stupidity they did with all their menus in the general ui, horizontal scroll nightmare

I don’t think this is isolated to just loot on steps, but steps have consistently been a place I’ve learned to just let it go when it comes to shit bugging out on them for this reason. I don’t know what it is about steps that has been so hard to figure out but retrieving loot, throwing ammo or armor boxes on them is a bad time.

I have to admit I feel like I’m on an island here. I play for about ten hours a week and this lag happens maybe once or twice a week.

People in this sub asked for that shit. Thank them.

AGREED. Your primary gun shouldn’t be able to fly out of your hand like that – it needs to be a different control.
