Redfall is an upcoming first-person video game developed by Arkane Studios Austin and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is set to be released for Windows and Xbox Series X/S on May 2, 2023. Redfall is an open world first-person shooter video game that features both single-player and cooperative multiplayer modes. Players can choose among four playable characters — each with unique backgrounds and abilities — to fight against vampires as well as human enemies within the game. The game is set within the fictional titular island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, United States. After a failed scientific experiment, a legion of vampires invaded and isolated the town from the outside world. Trapped inside Redfall, players must choose among 4 unique survivors — cryptozoologist inventor Devinder Crousley, telekinetic student Layla Ellison, combat engineer Remi de la Rosa, and supernatural former US military special forces sniper veteran plus former PMC operator of Bellwether Security Jacob Boyer — and slay their enemies, vampires and human collaborators alike.

Arkane must have lost their entire team because this crap is not arkane. Floating damage numbers and fixed health bars 🤮🤮🤮🤮 fucking colour coded loot and it's bullshit grind. I didn't like deathloop, and I sure as shit don't like redfall. If this is the best arkane can do now, then they are dead in the water.
I wanted to try it out wit cloudplay. But I had to make an account with Bethesda! Fck that shit. They spam your inbox with nonsense
I was so excited for this game. Arkane? Microsoft? Definitely going to be great, definitely going to buy it day one… Let's just say I'm really glad that I got 3 months free of game pass and was able to try it and see what it actually was before I wasted $70.
Edit: I went into multiplayer last night with a friend hosting. He loaded into a complete black screen, apparently turning on his flashlight fixed it for him or at least let him see enough to get out. But as we proceeded, he couldn't see majority of the assets – he would run into cars because on his screen they didn't exist. He didn't find a gun until AFTER we killed the first vampire because he literally couldn't see or interact with any of the pre-set loot/bodies. So even though he was the host, the game acted like I was the host and made me do all the story progression while the actual host didn't even have them rendered on his screen – and he has a beefier rig than I do so that wasn't the issue.

Well… Technically it's not the same studio, that made Deathloop. That was Arkane Lyon. Redfall was (because, let's face it, it's Dead on arrival) Arkane Austin. It's Arkane only by name.

This game is so disappointing.
ID say they could have made this scary and good, but they would have had to go for a more realistic graphics style and way more atmosphere and make the enemies hard. This is just a basic idea…But I guess making it stupid easy+ kiddie fortnight graphics makes some sense its braindead easy…for kids.

Microsoft did the thing when they bought Ninja Theory. They made them put out some forgettable multiplayer crap riddled with microtransactions. Bleeding Edge was outside of Ninja Theorys wheelhouse in same way Redfall is outside of what Arkane usually puts out. It's like Microsoft says "We own you now make a muliplayer game that is gonna make us millions"
This is the last straw my Series X is officially for sale. My PS5 will do I guess

I think your wrong on the ai side of things. Enemies strafe, jump out of your line of fire, flank you if you have found cover, use blood mist grenades to smoke you out, use megaphones to summon more enemies, vampires teleport behind you to outflank you, they use shotguns and sniper rifles which do stupid amounts of damage to you. I honestly think you been playing on easy. Play midnight mode.
It looked really generic from the get-go and the enemies look like textureless, plastic manikins

I’m not gonna lie I wasn’t a huge fan of Arkane to start with. Prey is cool for a bit but gets boring with like 1 enemy type. Only ever played dishonored 1 and didn’t like it and same with deathloop. But this game made me completely lose trust in them. Not because the game is bad, bad games get released it happens. But because they had a review embargo up until it’s release knowing it was so bad. Huge scumbag move. And they sat back and watched while people ripped into IGNs xbox gameplay knowing that it was the horrible controller scheme for the game. And not the player that sucked. At least on PC it’s playable. On Xbox it’s not. Overall they proved themselves sketchy as hell. And anyone who thinks the outrage over this game is over exaggerated deserves to pay $70 for crap because it’s apparently fine for them.
