This is the most ridiculous issue I see in Warzone’s gameplay by far (other than the bad servers and netcode), and it should be incredibly easy to fix.
Imagine you have 0 plates while a player is rushing you, and there are plates on the ground dropped by someone you just killed, but you’re having trouble finding them and picking them up when they’re inside a stupid bush with 20 other items around them, and you’re in the heat of the moment of the last circle – You dont pick up the plates in time and you die.
This sort of scenario is way too common, and its very fixable.
Also, how does it make sense that AR gets auto-looted but not plates? if anything it would’ve made more sense it was the opposite. It is far more important for plates to get looted fast.

In case there’s actually a way to enable this in the settings, I still blame IW because I couldn’t find that shit, despite other plate related stuff being in the settings.

Upvote for visibility if you agree they should make plates get auto-looted.

I don’t think anything should be automatically picked up, and I think you should have to crouch to puck anything up.
Plates are automatically picked up… for me anyways. unless you don’t have any slots in your inventory bag.
Sometimes picks them up until I have the three on my UI sometimes it won’t pick up any even If I have none equipped or anywhere in my inventory and finally I get games where it will pick up every single plate and absolutely ram my backpack full of them .
Plates? My character doesn’t even pick up AR ammo when running around with an empty M4
Bc the game was designed to cater to DMZ backpack system
In my experience plates auto pick-up unless you drop them (probably to a friend) or die and try to get your stuff back, your plates specifically won’t auto pick-up but others will.
Is it that hard to press X, square whatever? Adapt damn.
Because this game is shit and the devs eat shit?
For me the first 3 always auto pick up and then you have to pick an additional one up *once* and the game will auto pick up every time until your inventory is filled. Same with ammo types.
You have to pick up one plate to start a stack in your inventory and then it’ll auto pick up to fill up the stack.
Once you have no part-stacks, it doesn’t auto-pick up until you start another stack.
Same applies for ammo/other stackable items.
Makes sense otherwise you’re just gna have a jumbled mess random shit in your backpack. This way it allows you to dedicate slots for whatever you wanna stack
