So, Amazon wants to bring back Robocop and apparently even has some plans for it? That IP, along other other sci-fi series Stargate, are both looking at coming back with TV series and Films, according to [Deadline](https://deadline.com/2023/04/robocop-stargate-legally-blonde-barbershop-in-works-film-tv-amazon-mgm-ip-1235243057/). Adding to this the release of Robocop: Rogue City video game, may be an inidcation of some renewed interest in the franchise. Hope its better received than the reboot movie.

There’s the original three films, the reboot in 2014, but who has seen the others. The two animated series, Robocop and Robocop: Alpha Commandos, the 1990’s Live Action series and the 2001 Robocop: Prime Directives 4 part miniseries. I watched the live action series growing up and made sure to have nights free when the series was dropping. From what I’ve seen, all of the content is available to watch online, so may have to watch them, as curious how the cartoons turned out as only saw the first one a year or two ago.

The cartoons were pretty bog standard marvel fare for the time (they even had what sounded like the same VA who did Doc Ock in them). He was part of the “Marvel Action pack”.

Robo never kills anyone in the cartoon. His gun shoots stun blasts.

I’ve seen all 4 movies, the tv series, the telemovies/miniseries as well. I have most of them on dvd (as well as archived copies on my media server).

They should do a Robocop/Max Headroom show

I’d buy that for a dollar if it was a real M or R rated affair with respect to the original movie (the only perfect movie ever made). I will watch it like I did the other lesser affairs no matter what but idk, just feels like a waste if they dont do it right. each installment has been lesser than the one before it. I would love it to be done right but they have given me no faith to go on. Also looking forward to rigue city again if its done right.
