With the majority of streamers moving on to Fortnite, Apex and CS:GO, Warzone numbers on Twitch are at an all time low!

You mean people don’t want to watch someone shoot AI bots at the same stronghold for months and months?

    I am SHOCKED!

  2. konawolv

It’s worse than it looks. Many players stream mw2 competitive under warzone and many players stream wz1 there too.

  3. Warzone 2 is a lost cause. It’s fundamentally broken and not fun. IW’s vision directly conflicts with what players want. Balancing for multiplayer and Warzone is a fool’s errand. Bots add nothing to the game but reduce server stability. DMZ was a waste of time as Activision chased another gaming fad.

Let’s be honest. The movement mechanics in Warzone 1 were exploited glitches. The skill gap was never intended. IW and Activision stumbled into a fun game. Warzone 2 is the true vision of what IW wanted for Warzone 1.

By the time IW and Activision pull their heads out of their asses and let Raven fix the game for fun, it’ll be too late.

I’m glad IW have absolutely fucked this Warzone. They make everything that is wrong with cod and try and destroy anything competitive. I hope* Treyarch make the next BR title that gets released so maybe it’ll actually be fun to play.

IW got lucky with Verdansk and WZ1, they obviously didn’t like what they created as they’ve gone back on everything good they’ve done.

You’re telling me that FPS games on a 20 tick rate server is less than a good idea?

  6. Grand-Philosophy-343

Because its a boring call of duty game 😂

  7. Remember When Streamers of those games + Battlefield all came to Warzone? Back when we’ve had **Verdansk, Snipers Headshots & RavenSoftware wasn’t ruining the game** and changing literally everything we liked the game for.

    How the turns tables.

  8. maedeonNA

Yeah the Viewership reflects game quality lol

  9. WolfOfGoreRd

Bring back verdansk and spend the next year building an anticheat

  10. The game is fundamentally bad. Not surprising. The only surprise is it took this long.

  11. I think the sad part is seeing people like truegamedata aka Tony seemingly struggling after pouring their heart into making compelling content to support the game. I don’t know that I think basing a career around a game is always the best choice but he’s such a good dude so I feel for him.

  12. CanPlenty925

Wow… I guess the “if you don’t like the game… go okay something else” worked too much…

I’ve moved on but it’s funny seeing a community as toxic as WZ2’s suddenly realize the game decisions they defended ended up with COD going back to pre-WZ irrelevancy… lol

  13. All the hate aside, I promise that if the devs tried to be more active in this sub and generally respond to players claims, the player base would look much better. Like seriously some people here are not expecting them to transform this game overnight but Jesus fucking Christ let us know what you are up to instead of releasing so many garbage bundles.

I used to love playing warzone with my friends, now it’s horrible. I love being able to “hang out” with my friends on WZ, but I get so bored after 2 games now

  15. boiseairguard

Fuck this dogshit game. They should have left resurgence on WZ1. Fortunes keep was bad ass. My issues:

•they didn’t port over blueprints and skins that we fucking paid for to WZ2

•no leaderboard for me to compare WZ2 wins with my friends

•$20k to buy a load out

•can’t make any gas plays cause buy station is gone almost immediately

    •Ashika is a shit map

Not surprised at all. Warzone did have some tactical elements to it which allowed for some balance to the game early on..

This was washed out in early Seasons 5-6 of Verdansk ( pre CW ) where cheating and bounty contracts were abused. It was all down hill from there…

The DMR 14 Era was atrocious…that was the tipping point that I thought they really didn’t care about the players..rampant cheating was apparent yet IW was too slow to combat it.

The only really good LTMs where the Haunting of Verdansk and 80s Action Heroes…

It wasn’t far after that that the zombie element became a thing, and while it was a cool mechanic I really was hoping Verdansk would stay.

Then we got Verdansk 86…which to be honest really bored me. They had a good thing going with a good map and story element within the Warzone environment that worked, yet a couple of internal employment changes axed that rather quickly. There was so much they could of done with the original Verdansk map. I was so excited to see the underground train be added, what I thought was going to be really dark tunnels where those Infrared scopes that literally no one used at that point where we could walk through and have even more verticality to it, instead they washed their hands of Verdansk and we got Caldera…probably the worst map of them all. Al Mazrah isn’t that bad, I just grew tired of the same issues that plagued Verdansk happening in AL Mazrah.

After playing only one game of Warzone 2.0 I was tired of it and before I became attached, I got off and haven’t been back on since.

I said it before and I’ll say it again. ACTIVISION really did need to hit the mark with the remake of MW2. You were going to have a lot of the COD community coming back, the community that played the original MW2 and fell in love with it. If they didn’t, and it was just a few new features and a re skin of the same issues that plagued the first, it’ll eventually fizzle out, which from all the comments I’ve read. It sounds like it.

Can’t express enough the joy this brings me. From someone that loves verdansk, and had under 1kd. To disliking caldera, but after portable balloons, buys, and weapon balances I started loving it and just wanted this with a new map. They destroyed Warzone for me and all my friends. They killed the game I watched on twitch all day and played all night. I don’t watch twitch Warzone anymore, but I do play caldera with my friends. Hoping more people go back to caldera so they can release other game modes on it and take the fkin L for fucking up a good thing. I always told everyone Warzone was the future of esports. 2v2, customs, they all used to be so exciting to watch. Warzone is not Warzone anymore. Fuck you activision.

The team in charge of developing wz really needs to be shamed bc this is such an insane fumble. They had the hype and the formula to succeed but they flipped the script just to cater for more money. Now the game has no hype for the foreseeable future and they may never get that spark back again barring another pandemic.

  19. lifeisgoodalwaysever

It took them almost two years to perfect warzone 1 & by the time they got there, they decided to shut it down and release warzone 2.

It would’ve been amazing if they have swapped caldera with Al Marzah as new map

  20. OkJelly8114

I’m more shocked that you guys take the time to either research this or go find the research to share

  21. Accomplished_Spirit3

Activision REDDIT BOTS DOWN CLICKING THIS NON STOP. WATCH

  22. Rayzor_debiker

Where are the “numbers dont mean anything there are many still playing right now” people.

  23. choof_worm

imo if they make 2 si ple changes 1 beubg to let people shoot while sliding and the 2nd the ability to shoot right before ypu hit the ground whilst dolphin diving, will vastly improve this game. I really don’t mind everything else.

Except AI fuck that stuff right off

  24. sendnadez

Good hope the game dies and the devs finally admit they fucked up letting cheaters run rampart and streamers destroy bot lobby’s for views. Rubbish game.

  25. shalelord

So another post about how warzone is down and that is due to no movement and cant break ankles and no one shot snipers because streamers cant do them highlights anymore? I thought everyone wants some realism in cod?

  26. TheEternalGazed

Warzone 2 is dead. Big streamers are dropping the game, and the content is extremely stale. I haven’t even played in weeks. There are just so many better options to play right now.

  27. Don’t forget Destiny 2 as well. The grind over there is fun asf atm!

  28. Gromey_Bear

Honestly that’s a good thing for the majority of players, the Twitch sweats are always pissing and moaning about balance and eSports that eventually they end up ruining the game. You end up with a game that panders to them and them alone while therest of us are stuck with a very narrow meta as a result.

I for one am glad they are gone, let Fortnite Creative and APEX deal with them for a bit.

  29. Rarecandy31

WZ2 was such a bust. WZ1 wasn’t perfect, but it was great, and it was addicting. WZ2 makes changes in all the wrong directions. A new map and massive patch to WZ1 was the way.

  30. Ya’ll know you’re looking at Warzone 1.0 stats here and not Warzone 2.0 stats right? Like is anyone surprised that WZ 1.0 is dropping? Go to TwitchTracker and look up Modern Warfare 2, it’s actually been pretty stable since December.

  31. punishingwind

Man, this Reddit is just filled with people endlessly bitching about the game. Play it and offer polite suggestions, that the multi-million dollar publishers may take an interest in, or piss off.

  32. CertifiedTittySucker

That’s good, if this continues maybe something will change
