I want to know what the gear is!

    What a great find.

They look either like a) the cast of a revenge of the nerds sequel, or b) the cast of a 80s anime OVA

  3. Steve Mann on the far left. He’s got a lab in Toronto called the Mann Lab and he’s basically a cyborg

  4. MrLazyLion

They’re so close to being cool, they can almost taste it.

  5. TrippingThru

Guy in the green shirt giving Young Egon vibes

  6. PotSniffer0811

Why does this give me ‘The Lone Gunman’ vibes?

Unironically really cool, I wish tech today was more in line with this, cables hanging everywhere and accessory belts for batteries and stuff.

What makes this even better for a that the 1990s were essentially pre-WiFi or wireless data in general. First company I saw roll out wifi was around 2002 but they were mostly still handing out pcmcia xircom Ethernet cards with their laptops. Sure these guys might have had some 802.11b prototype in some buildings maybe but get more than 40-ish feet from the base station and you’re either wired or on “sneaker net.”

They look exactly how I imagined they would

  15. I was worried they’d look like nerds. Whew.

Second from the left looking like a young Rick Moranis.

  17. powerhcm8

They look like a group of people Mulder would call to help in a x-file.

  18. Badgers_or_Bust

These people were so cool to me whet this was taken.

Gargoyles are no fun to talk to. They never finish a sentence. They are adrift in a laser-drawn world, scanning retinas in all directions . . . You think they’re talking to you, but they’re actually poring over the credit record of some stranger on the other side of the room, or identifying the make and model of airplanes flying overhead
