Sounds like Tik tok will be adding features to its technology. It seems right up their alley since they’re so good with filters. Now instead of filters for how you look. You can have filters for the reality you live in blurring reality with your own memories of events on recordings you take. Black Mirror, you win.

For everyone saying it’s unhealthy…I believe it’s all in how responsibly people adopt it.
Imagine a family tradition where once a year, the parents boot up this app so their children can experience a few immersive memories of their grandparents, who passed away before the kids were born. Then they rest of the day telling stories, looking at photo albums and home videos, and passing on traditions from one generation to the next. This to me is a hypothetical example of using this technology in a healthy, consensual way.
Now, once the capitalists get a hold of it? They will try to hook as many people on it as possible, and it will certainly not be healthy. But that’s my point; the technology isn’t the problem, the dystopian culture we live in is.
