I always loved how it was small and hard to play, it just made me actually try to survive and get up to high rounds.

How about we just accept the facts here. It’s a shit map and you just happen to like it. That’s all there is to it.

Nuketown Zombies is good. It’s not one of the greats, but it’s fun. A good casual map.
SnooMemesjellies3095
It’s my go to map when I’m bored in bo2. It’s in my top 10 for sure
HumaneOrange
I’m a simple man, I just simply enjoy killing zombies, therefore I like every map.
Assured_Observer
Easily the best “Survival” map in BO2.
cero1399
Nuketown was the go to in bo2. Challenging but not tedious, a bit of rng to switch things up.

I always think it’s funny how people praise nacht but hate nuketown

Nuketown > Town

People thought nuketown zombies is bad?
Rushton-Babie
it has a good amount of difficulty, and it’s a classic map. i love it
TimelordAlex
I thought it was not remotely worth the extra money i had spent on it with the Hardened Edition and was annoyed they didn’t expand the map like they said they would pre-release. Only having 4 perks that come randomly I didn’t like, theres no proper WW either.
Bubbly_Bubbles96
I know, it’s sooooo fun! It actually is so much fun! Dang it now I wanna play it haha!
That2Valve
Other than the rng the map is solid
Turd-In-Your-Pocket
Nuketown everything is good.
ThatWetFloorSign
It’s mid, it doesn’t really have anything to make it good, it’s just also got nothing to make it bad

Nuketown is fun. I love surviving to round 19 to finally get jug when it finally drops down. The map forces you to play better which I love.
rushbsuka
Nuketown Zombies is actually like my 2nd or 3rd favorite bo2 map
DMazz441
What is the highest round currently for Nuketown zombies? Is there any third party leaderboard sites, to see all the best rounds from any platform?
heyuhitsyaboi
Nuketown was the FIRST dlc I remember ever purchasing. Very fond memory
Played it all day with a friend who was new to cod. Times were simpler back then.

It’s a fun challenge map, we need more maps like it

Nuke town is the best benchmark. It’s standard, quick, and keeps up with rounds. It’s also the default if us boys can’t decide what map to play. And im gunna leave it on this possible unpopular opinion, but town < nuketown.
KottonKiing
One of my favorite maps, its small chaotic, great map design and the atmosphere is superb
Carter_Azathoth
I just miss the simple maps where there isn’t a 50 minute setup just to play it

Getting really sick of all these posts that are like “Oh x map isn’t actually bad, everyone was wrong about it!”
Maybe now looking back after 5 games the map isn’t bad, but compared to the other maps released before it, it definitely doesnt look as great as everyone in the replies is saying.
Chinjiikari
It’s good and fun with 4 peeps

People are pointing out an interesting bit of tension between “casual” and “hard” maps here. I do think that Nuketown is a casual map, despite being pretty challenging. It’s casual beacuse when you’re looking to sit down and enjoy a game of zombies with your friends, you’re not necessarily looking to play for 3 hours, slaving away at weapon quests and EE steps. It’s fine if it ends early. That’s a *good* attribute for a casual map to have. When I boot up Zombies to play with a bunch of friends, we usually turn on Nacht, Nuketown, Town, Der Riese, or Moon (and we don’t use the tele). Nacht and ukeown are both pretty tough if you’re trying to run them casually, imo. The simplicity overrules the challenge, I think.
Simplicity makes a good zombies map, and Nuketown is one of the best simple maps because the random perk drops keep you on your toes. It’s also nice to have two great training spots on either end of the map and one in the middle. Makes it really good for 2 player coop.

People think it’s bad? Honestly, it’s one of my favorite maps to play solo

I love all zombie maps in their own way, even transhit.
My philosophy is that you don’t actually like a thing if you blindly ignore it’s flaws. But if you are passionate about something, even if it’s “hate” or criticism, that means you care about it to some degree.
pm-me-ye-asshole
It’s very difficult and good training practice. Does it have the replay value of the other maps (minus Die Rise of course)? No. Is it a good warmup or a fun time once in a while? Absolutely.

Omg I feel this in my soul, I recently got the dlc for BO2 on sale and tried Nuketown Zombies to see how bad it was just to find out, it’s not F tier. I actually enjoyed the simple nature of it, no buildables or complex ee, just simple killing and still patiently waiting for Jugg to fall down at Round 16

I like a good mindless challenge, as a matter of fact, I’m playing it rn. Thanks for the post to remind me to play my favorite game

The very best time killing map I’ve ever seen (Didn’t get bored cuz I died on like round 30).
SgtZaitsev
I always wanted to get to Round 25 so the zombies’ eyes would change

nothing wrong with the nuke town layout but random perk spawns is just not it
