I don’t mind when something becomes broken, sometimes in-game items get put into games that are over-tuned at first. It happens it all kinds of multiplayer games quite frequently.
But wanting to keep it over-tuned? That’s how you know some people haven’t seen a positive K/D until this thing came out lmao. #CrutchMentality

If I got killed by a shotgun in MW2 it was basically just “ugh that sucks, oh well let me just not push into buildings and stay out where I can out-range shotguns”.
Having more range than a shotgun isn’t enough for people anymore though. From the complaints I’ve seen, they want to turn shotguns into melee weapons that you have to be pressing the barrel into someone to do any damage.
Shotguns should always be best weapon available in tight quarters and it just so happens that a lot of fights in this game take place in tiny, cramped spaces. It’s really not the shotgun’s fault that the majority of maps have major rotation paths that are barely any wider than a shoulders’ width.

Then again, people weren’t as good back then, SBMM was nowhere near as strong, and there weren’t 1000’s of youtube videos out 10mins after the game or new season released telling you the most OP loadout possible, so these things weren’t as big of an issue in the vast majority of your games. It really was a better era of CoD, for so many reasons.
