Beautiful. Do you have any widescreen versions for desktop wallpapers? Or any other artworks. It’s hard to find really great cyberpunk wallpapers or they mostly look good but all very similar. This one really stands out.

Desul had had enough. At 84 years old, he knew he was 5 years over the mandated retirement age. But it was only 3 more days until his birthday. He would then hang his truncheon up for good – per his supervisor. Yes, his young wife Amel was 9 months pregnant, but it didnt matter. The pension would be enough for his latest kid. The other kids were old enough; they never even called to ask when his birthday was, let alone for any money. He could only assume they were doing fine.
The little bat bot erupted to life right next to his head, “Number 42, Number 42?! Desul, are you there?!”.
“Number 42 Desul, go ahead.”
“Traffic accident on Arkul Parkway, please respond. Looks to be about 27 vital signs in the area.”
Desul hesitated, the responded, “And deaths?”.
“Ummm…. None. But a couple of faint hearts – will order a skymedic to meet you.”
Desul winced. “How about more than one? Especially if there are a couple of casualties?”.
The bot’s speaker let out a chortle. “How about you shut the fuck up and do your job? Just because you are out of the shit in three days, doesnt mean you can waste our budget. Get moving!”
Asshole. “Acknowledged, proceeding to Arkul Parkway. 15 minutes.”
The bat bot’s projector whined down and floated next to him.
3 days. Desul just had to put up with this bullshit for three more days. “Fuck this org and shitty dispatch, I hope they lose their funding. It’ll be worth losing my pension if the office was blown up”, he thought to himself.
Desul holstered his truncheon and flashlight to his belt and strode toward Arkul Parkway. This will be a long 3 days…

I love that this guy just looks like an everyday man instead of a Chosen One. I love YA rebels as much as anyone else but this really grounds the piece.
