Hello FriendlyPosition58, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

  2. I have my old EVGA 1080ti FTW3 in my new 13900k build. I’ll probably keep it until a decent GPU, that’s worth the price, is released.

There is something really fun about putting a new build around an older gpu, just to see how much performance you were missing out on.

Ayyy nice to see I’m not the only one! Got a 13700k for my 1080ti recently. I was hoping to get a gpu soon but I’m actually pretty happy with it still. Running a 38inch 3840×1600 ultrawide. I don’t reach the 144hz refresh rate but still get 60+ fps in most games.

Building a 13600k machine for ky father in law tonight. Using his gtx 970.

    About to purchase a 7950X 3D with a GTX 1080ti. Hopefully it’ll last for 5 years.

1080ti old GPU? C’mon guys. Not everyone needs 4K 240Hz. And the GPU can play 4K 60fps on everything.

Haha I was running my old founders edition 1080ti with a 12700k up until a few months ago.

Having a brand new 3080ti sitting in it’s box unopened next to my PC taunting me for 6 months while I waited for a water block …
    Fuck doing that again!! Haha

  8. Sufficient_Focus

“hey guys I put my old card into my new build lol im so quirky!”

  9. ThereWillBeBoners

The Hospital lighting really puts it all together.

  10. The_Mighty_Bird

1080ti is considered old school now? 😢

  11. GyroJack

What kind of temperatures are you getting here? I’ve been looking to upgrade my other components except my 1080ti using same cooler

  12. SlobMyKnob1

I still remember when my buddy built his new PC and ran two 1080ti’s in SLI. That this was such a beast

  13. Vegetable-Meaning479

Hey is the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X 11G still considered a good card?

  14. ChuckFerrera

I was just gifted a toasted out 1080Ti that was mined on. Gave it some TLC and was finally able to upgrade from my 970. It’s a world of difference. Also helps that I upgraded everything else to current Gen and a 12900k… but 1090Ti!!

  15. patric023

I’m about to do the same thing. I’m in the process of upgrading to an i7 13700K and keeping my EVGA 1080ti FTW3 Hybrid for a while. I’ll wait until there’s a good used market for cheaper 4000 series cards once the 5000 series is released.

What CPU are you using now and how does your AIO handle it? I’m hoping to reuse my 240mm Fractal AIO so I don’t have to buy a new case that’ll hold a 360mm.
