What cloud formation is this? Is this a cloud formation?

You guys are leaving through the end of times. Who knew all this would just end up as a minor inconvenience to daily life.

…..
“The actual problem with all these migrating starlings is not that they shut out the light but that they blanket everything in smelly, greasy guano. Because the starlings feast in the olive groves outside of Rome, their poop is super oily. And there is a lot of it — so much so that tourists must use umbrellas to avoid getting rained on, and Rome has had to call in the big guns to get rid of the pesky birds.”

Striking picture.
This is what I pictured when reading it, as the “snow” effect was the color of a non-tuned channel growing up.
But, correct me if I am wrong here, didn’t Gibson intend for this line to refer to a ‘dead channel’ effect that pre-dated the visual snow? A more solid grey aluminum quality?
As Gibson said himself, “sodium silvery and almost painful”. I think that was a slightly different quality than the visual snow that most of us likely grew up with.

People hold this lime up as something that is impossible to visually convey, but instantly invokes imagery. I dont really agree with that.
Oh birdpocalypse? Yea we used to have those more 20 years ago
I thought it was a textured ceiling initially.
