For what it’s worth, this isn’t how it works. If it’s not feasible to remove carbon from the atmosphere, then what we’ve already experienced is irreversible. There’s no countdown since we’re there now.
If it *is* feasible to remove carbon from the atmosphere, then it will mostly be reversible until we somehow render the planet unsuitable for civilization. And that’s probably not possible to achieve in our lifetimes, let alone within seven years.
First off this is inaccurate. I’ve heard over a dozen times when global warming is gonna be irreversible, including that even if we went fully green rate now in all ways we still put out too much co2 to reverse affects years ago so I don’t know how the fuck they calculate the exact time…..
Also they pollute the earth by digging up cobalt and lithium to build a massive electronic clock powered by fuck knows what kind of power source causing who knows how much more emissions.
Just to scare people who already know well enough that global warming is a problem 😂 but people will be like cool idea!

Solar panels electric cars charging stations any single piece of electric component that has a battery of some sort contains either cobalt or lithium which is mostly like 99% mined in the Congo in Africa through fucking terrible Practices slave labour child labour etc
Plus it pollutes the earth just as much as any oil field or coal power plant.
If you are serious about climate change first off….. stop talking about it get yourself in the right position so you can change it without being a dick to other people all people ever do is talk to feel morally better about themselves when it comes to global warming then actually doing anything impactful.
Don’t just blindly listen to shit actually research stuff… focus on power supplies that produce enough energy to supply a lot of power aswell as to use some to clean up the pollution caused from the power source such as nuclear(the main one), hydro electric damns, geothermal.
Also don’t tear down systems that exist find a way to make them better, oil and carbon and all kinds of pollutants can be taken out of the atmosphere so promote company’s recycling oil and carbon emissions out of the air so we can stabilize our emissions THEN implement new better ways to work along side the old ones, unless of course they’re much better then allow them to over take.
If you do this you don’t risk causing radicalization, why would people who drive gas powered cars and oil company’s and all these people why would they listen to your plight when you tell them they’re destroying the earth and painting them as the enemy when we all do to a degree
Work together to find a solution small steps to appease both sides because guess what, I live in Canada and where I’m at it just snowed this week of January so global warming is real bud and it’s probably too late to make a significant impact in our life time so let’s stop fighting one another focus on legit data and not just what sounds right or the most morally sound cause most times the companies and governments that promote these thing DONT FUCKING CARE!

Not really sure how you can put a clock on something like that, especially not one this specific. How would you be able to determine something like this? What calculations could have possibly been made that you’d get such a specific deadline. Also like others have said, scientists have been saying we’re in the last decade before irreversible damage for years. Not denying climate change. Just don’t buy the unrealistically specific doomsday clock
