I’ve had this issue with one of my mates aswell. I find that if I put my ps5 into rest mode with mw2 still open then boot it back up and right back onto mw2, it seems to glitch my friends list and show everyone as being offline and my mate seeing me as also offline. It’s weird cause I never had this issue with MW2019/WZ1.

For those of you playing on Xbox Series X/S, the quick restart appears to be a major cause of issues. Primarily mic not working and unable to join parties.
I make it a habit now to force close and restart the game whenever I boot. So annoying that you can’t turn this quick restart off by default.

This happens in dmz all the time. 2 of us make it into game and the third is still at setup screen but can hear both us and usually 1 of us can hear him but the other can’t. Happened 3 times yesterday and annoying cause like well guess we rush the exfil or lose everything

In WZ1 you could send an invite to an offline player provided they were actually online. If this new UI lets you see offline friends it might be worth a go to see if it works.

The issue is because of quick resume.
When you’re done with the game, shut it down properly. Don’t leave it in standby / quick resume.

I find if your on Playstation send the invite through the Playstation menu not the cod menu. That’s how we get everybody in, of course it only works if they’re on ps also.

This game is STILL crashing for me on PC with the same errors since day one. I can’t remember such a consistent crash that wasn’t patched by now.

This seems to happen when crossplaying. When I play with my friends on PS it’s easy. This problem has been going on since WZ1. I don’t think they will ever fix it

There have been times where we couldn’t see each other so just didn’t play that night.
