You are shooting armored ai in the “evening” so yes it will be harder to kill them… Especially since the no armor ai are 1 shot to the head, just a single pellet needs to scrape an ear and they die
I would also like to recommend to ads with the shotgun more, it gives more range

They nerfed shotguns recently so they will never one hit. See recent patch notes.

What is Skill Based Damage? I’ve not heard of that

I know this doesn’t really add to the discussion.
I have pretty much gotten into the habit of ADS with the shotgun because it seems to impact damage, even at close ranges.

– Skill based damage doesn’t make sense to apply to DMZ bots and isn’t real anyway
– You are just as skilled in the AM as you are in the evening, not sure what that has to do with your skill level affecting your damage unless you got dramatically better throughout the day lol
– They did nerf shotguns on the 16th, they also said they were going to do like 4 other things on the 16th that actually did the opposite, so the possibility of them just not actually nerfing them until the 19th is incredibly high
– The patch notes on the 19th say “Fixed an issue that resulted in base AI Combatant difficulty being increased across DMZ that was only intended for a specific area” which could mean they accidentally buffed all bots 50% when they meant to buff some bots 100%, or something like that.

So many variables in this case. Chaotically compiled video doesn’t say anything.
If you want really prove skill based damage, then do real test. Otherwise this is just another conspiracy theory.
We need more and much clear test environment:
Important:
1. What build?
2. What range?
4. Is there a chance shotgun AOE hit enemy’s head?
5. We need to know critical chance if it’s exists we can know it by multiple tests and compare data
6. Was game version changed?
7. Was enemy plated?
Optional but may be helpful
1. What ping?
2. What ingame match time?
3. Is there difference between bots and players?
4. Your profile stats

Skill based damage and stuff like that is all real, it’s all in the activision patents and is fairly easy to prove.

Yeah, same experience. Shotguns were recently stealth buffed, and now it seems they’ve been stealth nerfed. **Severely** nerfed.
I believe it used to take two shotgun blasts to kill the heavily armored enemies, then it was buffed to one shot recently, and just today we get this stealth nerf that absolutely destroys shotguns into oblivion, requiring 3 or even 4 shots. I’ve been using the exact same build and playstyle, so it’s definitely a nerf.
Also, I’m someone who never believed they made any changes to AI accuracy or aggressiveness, but today I’ve been getting absolutely destroyed by the AI in a way that had never happened in my countless hours on DMZ.
Going prone used to make them miss most shots, but now that doesn’t work anymore. If you are in their line of sight for a couple of seconds you are dead.
I was just playing a match with a couple of randoms and we were all getting downed every step of the way. Half of this match was us being pinned down by the AI and reviving each other. I have never seen DMZ be like today. I even saw a random backpack from a dead guy in the spawn just next to us, obviously killed by the AI.
